"We got a 67% match

"We got a 67% match. Wait, cross that, it's a 79% match," said one of the agents monitoring one of the many computers looking for Loki Laufeyson.

I heard of Loki. According to the books I've read, he's the God of Mischief. And according to Natasha, he's an asshole who took control of Clint Barton. A guy that I didn't even meet yet. He's also known as the Hawkeye.

I saw the video that played on the computer and looked at Loki's face, trying to remember every aspect and detail of his face.

"Location?"

"Stuttgart, Germany. He's not exactly hiding."

"Captain and Carter, you're up." Fury said behind me.

-

I wasn't exactly comfortable with the dress that I was wearing. I had a long, tight dress, that fit me perfectly. It matched with my red lipstick. I couldn't deny though that I looked great. It's been a long time since I've dressed like this.

My mission was to act like a normal person , so Loki can't see that there's a secret agent here. If Loki tries to harm anyone, I could try to stop him quickly and not waste time.

While I was drinking champagne, I noticed a man going down the stairs, taking his time, while trying to hide a grin. Oh, and I forgot to mention it, he had a sceptre, by which I immediately recognized him as Loki.

Yeah, he wasn't exactly hiding.

He took the sceptre with more force and banged it into a guard's face, which took everybody's attention.

Just as he took a guy's collar and laid him in the middle of the room,
I made an illusion of myself behind him. Turns out he wasn't the only one with mind control.

Loki took out some sort of gadget and was about to stick it into the guy's eye.

"You sure you want to do that?" My illusion asked to buy some time.

"Yes, I'm sure I want to do that, love" He replied without looking at me and still grabbing the guy's collar. He  stuck his gadget into the guy's eyeball anyway.

Everyone screamed and ran out of the building, leaving me, Loki and this dude alone in the middle of the elegant, white room.

One of my advantages is that I can make physical contact with objects or people with my illusions.

My illusion tackled Loki to his legs, making Loki fall and making the device stop scanning the guy's eyeball.

"Now, you're sure you want to do that, dear?" He asked looking at me with rage filling his eyes, using my words. As soon as we made eye contact, the rage left his face, replacing it with confusion and calmness.

"Até?" He asked. Maybe he mistook me for someone else.

"Who the fuck is Até?" I asked and I went behind him, still concentrating on my illusion in front of him.

My illusion threw a knife in his direction but he skipped it quickly, almost hitting me.

"I guess you're not Até" Loki stated as he ran into my illusion, trying to kill it with the sceptre, but I made it disappear.

He looked around confused and turned in every direction. That's when I kicked his sceptre away and held a gun to his head.

"I see that you have some very... interesting abilities. So I guess you really are Her." He stated with that stupid smirk on his face.

While I was about to reply, he catches me off guard and makes a small cut in my arm with a knife that he had hidden. I winced slightly at the small pain. Still holding my gun tightly, my wound closed quickly, healing itself and then I shot him in the chest, but the bullet went through him without making an incision.

"Your superpower has gotten better, I see," He says behind me.

An illusion. "I gotta say, I'm slightly impressed, "I lied while I totally ignored what he just said. What a freak.

We started fighting, not only with my gun and his sceptre but with our mind control too.

"You've gotten quite good with your abilities, Até."
He really had to stop calling me Até. It was pretty annoying.
A smile appeared on his face. That smile. I badly want to just take it off his face.

"Well, I guess I'm not-" I interrupted myself from continuing because I skipped the sceptre from entering my skull from behind me. Another illusion.

While we were fighting, I tried to read his mind, which was impossible. It was like he had a wall in his mind, and I can't pass through it or break it.

"Agent Carter, I need you outside the building, now. Do you copy?" Fury said through my earpiece. Finally, they arrived.

"I copy," I said, giving Loki a last kick to his stomach before running to the entrance.

Before I went through the doors, Loki took my foot, making me fall to the ground, hard.

"Not so easy. I'm still not finished with you." He walked in my direction and banged the side of his sceptre to my head. He took my hair with his hand, dragging me with him. I was starting to fall unconscious.

He's powerful, more powerful and stronger than I thought.

With a blurry vision, I saw Loki transforming his suit into an Asgardian suit and his sceptre into a much bigger one with gold. He created 3 illusions of himself around the crowd, stopping them from running.

"Kneel!" He banged his sceptre into the ground grabbing everyone's attention from the chaos. "I said, KNEEL!" He shouted louder, holding my hair tighter. That shit hurted.

My vision started to get less blurry, and I saw everyone kneel before this bastard. Loki let my hair go, which relieved me from the pain.

"Isn't this much simpler? Isn't this your natural state?" He asked while looking at everybody, enjoying the moment.

"Agent Carter, Steve's coming."

I grabbed my pocket knife and slit it across Loki's leg. That's when I fell unconscious. I knew Steve would save everybody, like the patriotic hero he is. My mission here was done.

-

I woke up feeling nauseous and a headache throbbing from the back of my head.

"Are you okay? Are you hurt?" Steve asked me, looking for injuries.

"I'm okay. I'm not hurt. Are you hurt?" I asked, getting worried, seeing his lip bleeding.

"No, it's nothing. We got Loki." He said pointing at him. He was sitting, restrained. We were on a helicopter or aircraft of some sort.

Loki and I made eye contact for a split second until I saw lightning outside the little window in front of me.

"Where's this coming from?" Natasha asked.

From the corner of my eye, I saw Loki tense up.

"What's the matter? Scared of a little lightning?" Steve asked him, making fun of him.

"I'm not overly fond of what follows." He replied scarily.

Steve and I looked at each other, giving each other confused looks. What did he mean by that?

A loud noise came from the roof of the helicarrier.

I heard someone behind me press a button, opening the door behind the helicarrier.

The man had a red metal suit. I recognized him. He's Howard's son,

Tony Stark.

And that's when I blacked out... again.
