Even though Alison didn't like it, everyone was talking about them, The Avengers.

Alison was happy that they won the fight, but it upset her that everyone was talking about her. She didn't like the attention.

Before Loki was dragged to Asgard with his brother Thor, Loki said something to Alison, which made her worry.

"I'll see you soon, Agent Carter," said the God of Mischief, smirking at her.

Just thinking about those words made her chills. Why would Loki come back to Earth?

She didn't like it. It gave her a bad feeling. Those words affected her more than she'd like to admit.

Agent Carter and the Captain now lived together in a small apartment in Washington.

It's been two years since they last saw the rest of the Avengers. Steve and Alison still did missions together.

Now, they were doing some jogging. They did this almost every morning for the past two years.

At first, Alison had difficulty keeping up with the Captain's pace. But now, she was used to it. While she was taking a water break, seated on the grass, she watched as Steve sprinted pass by another man, every time saying "On your left". It made Alison laugh.

A few minutes later, the man sat down by the tree on Alison's side.

She laughed at his expression and asked him if he was okay.

"Have you seen him?" asked the man, pointing at Steve. "The guy doesn't get tired." He seemed pissed and amused by the situation.

"Yeah, I know. We always run here together. Alison Carter," she introduced herself, stretching out her hand.

"Sam Wilson. Nice to meet you," he said shaking the girl's hand. "I actually know who you are. I read about you. Have you gotten used to all this?" said the man, looking around them.

"It took me some time. It's really weird all of this new technology. I'm glad I learn quick."

"Need a medic?" Steve came up to them and asked Sam, finishing his run and interrupting their conversation.

"I need a new set of lungs." Sam said laughing. "Dude, you just ran 13 miles in 30 minutes," he was so impressed.

"Trust me, he can do way better than that." Carter replied, looking at Sam.

"Really?" Sam asked, even more impressed by her comment. "You should be ashamed of yourself," he said, turning to Steve, now a serious look on his face. "You should take another lap. Did you just take it? I assume you just took it." Alison laughed, watching Sam still trying to catch his breath, while Steve hasn't even broken a sweat.

"What unit you with?"

"58th Pararescue. But now I'm working down at the VA," the guy replied and Steve nodded. "Sam Wilson," he introduced himself.
