April was out of breath after she shot two goals. The other team was better than she would admit. But the redhead was eager to at least try to win.

She slowed down by the edge and crouched down, breathing heavily. She watched the others play amused. To be honest they all fouled more than they actually played.

April wasn't alone for long before Leah joined her.

She glanced down at her. "You're cute. You and Addison."

"Thanks." April looked up. "She's cute."

"Are you two happy?"

The redhead wrinkled her brows. She didn't really feel like talking about her girlfriend with her ex girlfriend. "Of course." She rolled her eyes. She had no time even thinking about that question before. She was way too happy to let anything like this worry herself. "Addison is great. Everything I could want in a life partner." She simply stated, hoping it would shut the topic. "How have you been?"

Leah shrugged her shoulders. "After high school I started to work at my dad's as a secretary. Thats where I met Matthew. He was one of the customers."

"How long have you two been together?"

"Four years in october." Leah cleared her throat and April recognised she didnt have any emotions in her voice.

Just as she was about to ask why she heard a scream on the field.

"AAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!" Addison yelled, laying in the grass.

April immediately sprinted over to them, pushing her sisters gently out of the way so she could get to her love. "What happened?!"

"The ball came flying towards me...I didnt see her-....I dont know...I think I pushed her..?" Matthew stuttered at a very angry April.

"My toes!" Addison sat up, holding her foot. "I think they are broken."

"You broke her toes?!" April marched towards him and pushed him hard, causing him to stumble backwards. "I will break your face!!"

"April! Stop!" Leah placed herself in between them. "It was an accident!"

The redhead shook her head angered and went back to Addison, helping her up. "I will drive her to the hospital. Make sure they are gone when we're back, please." She spoke the last part lower, only for Libby to hear. She knew her sister would take care of it.

In the hospital April had a hard time trying to stay by her girlfriends side. The doctors didn't all agree but she insisted until one of them kicked her out. She had explained all of them she was a doctor as well and told them all what to do, which was probably the problem. She just wanted to make sure her girlfriend got the best treatment.

April paced up and down in the hall, waiting for her girlfriend. She was still very mad about what happened. Any longer with this guy and she would've hurt him thousand times more than he hurt Addison.

"Hey, you're Dr. Kepner, right?" A tall dark haired woman approached her.

"Yea, that's me." She nodded.

"I'm Dr. Eliza Minnick, one of the doctors taking care of your friend."

"Girlfriend. Shes my girlfriend."

"Ohh. Really?"

April was kinda irritated by that question. "Yes."

"That's sad." Eliza stated and the girl could see how she was basically checking her out.

April decided to shake it off for now. "Whats with her?"

"Three of her toes are indeed broken, shes getting a bandage now and a splint, as well as a few painkillers then you can take her home again."

"Thanks." April nodded.

Eliza still stared at her. "Im sorry." She smiled at her. "It doesn't happen often that a beautiful woman comes in here, who's a doctor as well."

The redhead was kinda irritated by her. "Thanks, I guess? I grew up here but I live in Seattle now."

The dark haired woman bit her lip. "If you ever feel like working together-" She pulled out a pen and took her hand, scribbling on it. "Or doing anything else together...call me." She winked at her before she walked off.

April glanced down at her hand busted where the doctor had left her phone number and name along with a small heart.

What the fuck. She shook her head and tried to rub it off but it wouldn't work.

Shit. April huffed. Addison would kill her if she saw that.
