The drive home was a lot more chill than the way to the hospital. April cooled down a lot in the meantime. She just hoped Leah and Matthew would be gone by now.

The redhead helped Addison to the house, letting her down on the first chair she saw where she was already greeted by their friends.

"I hope they took care of your bones or I may break some too!" Callie inspected her bandage and Addison chuckled.

"Dont worry April bitched at everyone. They wouldn't have dared." She snorted, winking at her girlfriend.

"Really?" Arizona was the first one to ask.

Everyone looked at her surprised, including her sisters who overheard their conversation from the kitchen.

April shrugged her shoulders innocently.

"Beast mode when it comes to her woman." Kimmie mused from the counter.

The redhead shook her head but couldn't suppress a chuckle. "Only the best for the Queen."

"OHHHH!" Everyone cheered together.

Addison was surprised as well this time. Her girlfriend was even hotter when bold. She smirked at her, biting her lip.

"Are you all okay?" Aprils mother stormed into the house, her dad following behind.

"We are all alive!" Libby yelled.

"Addie broke her toes." Arizona added.

Her sisters joined them now, sitting close to the older doctor before they started to tell the story.

"We played football!" Alice began before Kimmie continued. "And Leah and her new boytoy came around."

Their mother already pulled a grimace. She didnt like her daughters ex either.

"It was a game of life and dead!" Libby stood up excited.

"Everyone fouled their way through to the other teams goal and then-" Alice quickly silenced Kimmie so she could talk. "And then big ass Matthew fell and crushed Addisons toes!!!"

Everyone looked at the three focused as if they were telling some sort of action story.

Libby put her hands in the air. "You should've seen April!" She states, clearly impressed by her sister. "She speeded to her wifey, ready to kick the mans ass!!!"

April facepalmed herself. Apart from her sisters totally overacting, she was also worried her parents would give her a speech now.
The nickname the three had for her girlfriend didn't go unnoticed either.

Judging Addisons gaze, she knew she heard it too.

Everyone grinned big at the story.

Her dad bumped her shoulder gently. "Well done, my angel!"

April looked at him perplex.

"We never liked them." Her mother explained.

"Wow!" April smiled, still kinda busted.

Addison watched her love interact with her parents and how much her sisters supported her. It was heart warming for her to see April this happy.

"Before you all have another great idea-" April started, scooting to her girlfriend.

"Only the best!" Kimmie highfived her sisters.

The redhead shot them all a judging look. "Addison has to rest a bit so we're gonna chill until dinners ready."

Arizona cupped her mouth to stop herself from laughing.

"Netflix and chill, huh?" Callie couldn't hold it back and everyone but her parents giggled.

Addie laughed as well but said its the painkillers fault.

April rolled her eyes as she helped her up and lead her to their bedroom.

"You still wanna stay here?" April asked her, sitting down on the bed.

Addison nodded. "Its only one more day before life faces us again." She layed back, leaning her back against the counter and placing her foot up on a pillow. "Plus im wounded."

The redhead snorted and layed between her legs, hugging her waist. "Sorry about that."

"It wasnt your fault." Addie shrugged and leaned down to peck her forehead lovingly.

"I should go after them and skin him."

"Im fine." The doctor enjoyed April being all protective over her. "It was a fun game. We won."

April shot up, glaring at her. "You did not-"

Addison was quick to catch her face between her hands so she could kiss those cute lips of hers.

"Okay." The redhead nodded inbetween kisses.

Never would she ever have imagined herself this happy. Most of it coming from her girlfriend and how great and supportive her family is. But most important was that she felt like she was at peace with herself right now. She didn't have to run around, stressing herself so she wouldn't be alone with her thoughts anymore.

She felt safe.

Addison took her hands in her own, crossing their fingers. "Whats that?" Her thumb stroke over the scribbling on her skin.

April shrugged. "Some doctors number."

"Where from?"

"The hospital we just came from."

Addisons expression darkened. "April." She cleared her throat. "Who is this number from?"

The tone in her voice told April that shes not gonna ask twice. "I waited for you and then this doctor came up to me, the one who took care of your toe apparently?"

"Female?"

April nodded.

"Dark hair?"

"Yea."

"Go on."

She squinted at how close Addie was inspecting her and her story. "She flirted with me or anything and then she gave me her number so we could work together sometime."

"What did you say am I to you?" Addie leaned back now.

"My girlfriend, duh!"

"Does she look hot?"

"No! What? Of course not, she's not you."

Her girlfriend started to grin at her. "I can imagine what things she wanna work on with you." Addisons hand traveled to her shirt, pulling on it. "Bet mine are funnier tho."

April licked her lips aroused. This definitely wasnt how she imagined her reaction to be, she didn't mind it tho. "Show me?"
