The sky's matte charcoal black covered in thousands and millions of bright specks was the perfect night for Leslie Finlay. The girl quickly developed a fascinating love for the study of the stars. Every night since she could talk, she would spend the nights in the backyard with her dad studying and analyzing those brights specks in the black sky.

The eleven-year-old was currently looking through the telescope while her father was writing down some notes of the night sky, their session was interrupted by the blonde's mother who walked through the backyard's doors, walking towards her husband she whispered,

"Mark, dear, there's somebody here that wants to talk with us."

A surprised look appeared on his face, "Honey, who would want to talk with us at this hour?"

Mark's wife just sighed and took a quick look at their daughter, "It's about Leslie."

At that, both of the parents took a last look at their daughter before walking indoors but still having a good view of her. In the living room stood a woman in black robes, previously invited in by Leslie's mother, Mark and his wife entered the room and the female invited the woman to sit on one of the armchairs.

"As I was saying, Mrs Finlay. Your daughter has been accepted to Hogwarts: School of Witchcraft and Wizardry-" She was cut off by Mark, "But we've never sent anything to such school. Let alone knew it existed."

The woman turned to him explaining everything, "Of course, Mr Finlay, I know that but the children get accepted to Hogwarts once they turn eleven," She turned her head to look at the blonde girl before focusing back on the married couple, "I believe your daughter just had her eleventh birthday, am I correct?"

"Yes. Yes, she just turned eleven." Said Mark's wife still not believing what she was hearing. It was all too much for her, for both of them. They would never have thought that their daughter could be so special. So unique from the other kids. Of course, she was always special in their eyes in her own way. From reading all the books she could at a young age to being the kindest person they know. She was always up to help, whether it was a person or an animal in need.

Before the conversation could continue Leslie ran to the living room yelling in excitement, "Daddy! Mummy! I found it! I found it!" Leslie did not notice the woman who was sitting across from her parents, not until said woman coughed to attract their attention.

"Good evening, Leslie." The blonde girl focused her attention on her and greeted her, "Good evening ma'am."

"Leslie, sweetie, take a seat. Please." At those words, the girl obliged yet she didn't understand why did they want her there since, clearly, it was a conversation between adults.

The elderly woman focused her gaze on Leslie before she spoke, "I believe  I should introduce myself. My name is Minerva McGonagall and I am a Professor at Hogwarts: Shcool of Witchcraft and Wizardry." She took out an envelope and gave it to the blonde girl, " I am glad to inform you that you have been accepted."

The envelope was in between her small fingers and her gaze fixated on it. She tuned out everything around her. Her mind filled with unbelievable thoughts. She always knew she was the odd one in her school. She knew she was different, yet the thought of being different because she was a witch had never crossed her mind. Of course, every child believes in a little bit of magic but for it to be actually real is like a dream come true.

She was pulled from her thoughts as Professor McGonagall stood up and walked to the door, followed by Mark's wife while he stayed with his daughter who was still holding the closed envelope. The door opened and the woman bid them goodnight. The three of them did the same and the door closed. Mark sent off his daughter to bed before addressing his wife, who had a troubled look on her face. "Aline, love. Stop worrying." He stopped her hands from fidgeting as she looked up at him, "Mark, this... This is crazy. Some kind of nonsense. Our daughter. A... A witch." Aline shook her head, "This is unbelievable"

"Well, someone did come and inform us and unless she escaped an asylum I believe it's pretty good evidence that it is real." He joked which wasn't received very well as his wife sent him a glare. He sighed, "Love, we'll worry about it tomorrow. And for the record, we knew all along she was different. Just... Not that different."

Aline sighed once again, "Let's think about it later, we still have two months before she starts and we should enjoy our holidays and not worry so much."

Those were the final words before the couple went to bed. Already prepared to start a new day like any other. Though after tonight their world changed completely. Especially Leslie's.

Hello, my fellow Potterheads! Welcome to another one of my fanfictions (which I probably shouldn't be writing because I have a more important one) All reasons aside, I hope you enjoyed this first chapter and that you'll like the rest of the book.  I believe no one would really care but I'm going to say it anyway, I've (once again i got so obsessed with harry potter that I needed to write a fanfiction and what better boy would there be than our favourite one, Draco Malfoy (admit it, you love him too, deep deep deep inside, I mean, who wouldn't, he's a sweetheart) okay, enough with my nonsense bubbling. Please, enjoy this story.

I LOVE YOU ALL.
