The holidays for the Finlay family came and went. Of course, Leslie enjoyed them very much, she always does. She loves visiting new places, she thinks they have their own kind of magic in their history which is what makes her enjoy it so much. But nothing has more magic to the blonde girl than the night sky. How the black of the sky contrasts the white of the stars, it showed her that there is always a little light in the dark.

September 1st was closer than she had imagined. Roughly two months prior to this day she received the news that she was a witch along with an Acceptance Letter to her new school. Now, with only two weeks before she starts a new school, she got more nervous every day. Even though she had read the book she was given that night, the fact that it will soon come true was nerve-wracking for her.

The Finlay family were enjoying their breakfast when there was a knock on the door. Aline stood up and opened the door. There stood the woman who had come the night of the blonde's eleventh birthday.

Leslie's mother invited her in as she greeted her. The woman looked at the remaining family members who were seated, "Good morning, Mr Finlay. Miss Finlay."

"Good morning."

Mark's wife approached the woman before questioning her visit, "Professor, may I ask. What does bring you here today?"

"Ah, yes, my visit. Well, I think it's time Miss Finlay purchases her supplies for Hogwarts," she explained. "Of course, I have come earlier than today but matters at Hogwarts made it difficult."

The Professor explained that she didn't have much time and she could only accompany them to the entrance of Diagon Alley and help them with the money. After that, the Finlay's drove to London meeting the Professor in front of a pub called The Leaky Cauldron, it was tiny and grubby-looking making Leslie's nose scrunch up. Professor McGonnagal lead them towards a wall before taping a few bricks with her wand. A hole appeared and it grew wider and wider before forming an archway that led to a cobbled street.

The eleven-year-old was amazed, as well as her parents. Everything was so much different from what she's used to. They reached a snowy-white building, which was the tallest of them all. Walking inside, she saw funny looking men, at least she believed they were men. Professor MacGonnagal lead them to a larger space filled with long counters as behind them sat more of those funny looking men. The older woman talked to one of them before she asked the couple for the money they brought, after some time Leslie received a small amount of wizarding money for today's shopping.

Once they exited Gringotts Bank, Professor McGonnagal bid them goodbye. The blonde girl took out the list of everything she needed before making her way to a shop called Madam Malkin's Robes for All Occasions. After that, they went inside Flourish and Blott's, to get her books; to the cauldron shop; to Eeylops Owl Emporium, which took time to convince her parents to get an owl, in the end, they gave in. Eeylops Owl Emporium was the place where she spent most of her time. A white-brown owl caught the blonde's eye, she walked towards it accidentally bumping into a boy for which she quickly apologized. She stood in front of the owl, it hooted happily making Leslie grin. After paying for the owl they went to the last shop, Ollivanders.

The bell chimes as Leslie stepped inside. It was a tiny place yet it was filled with a lot of narrow boxes. if this place was bigger and the shelves were filled with books, Leslie would have never left. A soft voice pulled her out of her thoughts,"Good afternoon."

The little girl looked up before speaking, "Good afternoon, sir."

Mr Ollivander looked at the eleven-year-old closely, making her slightly uncomfortable. He turned to rummage through drawers before looking in his pockets.

"I see a lot of potential in you, Miss Finlay."  He said as he pulled out a measuring tape, "Now, let's see. Which is your wand arm?"

The blue-eyed girl furrowed her eyebrows," Well, um... I'm right-handed."

He asked her to hold out her arm before measuring her from head to toe. He went to one of the shelves taking out a box, "All right, Miss Finlay. Try this one. Willow and dragon heartstring. Nine and a half inches. Springy."

She took it from him and looked at it, unsure of what to do. She waved it and sparks flew out which then almost broke one of the shelves. Shocked by the outcome, she apologized. Mr Ollivander gave her another wand not minding the previous action.

"Ebony and phoenix feather. Eleven inches. Nice and supple." She waved it around and just like the previous one, sparks flew and the wandmaker took the wand and gave her another one.

"Vinewood with a Unicorn hair. Thirteen and a half inches, Slightly yielding flexibility."

She took the wand yet this time she felt warmth in her fingers, the blonde swished the wand and as sparks flew, nothing got broken. Mr Ollivander cheered and Leslie paid for the item, bidding him goodbye and thanking him she exited the shop and along with her parents went back to The Leaky Cauldron to drive home.

Surely today was one of the best moments of her life.
