-[Ocean Met Storm]
⚡
The Gryffindor first years followed Ron's brother, Percy, up to a marble staircase. He stopped in front of a flight of stairs, "This is the most direct path to the dormitories. Oh, and keep an eye on the staircases...they like to change." Before he took a step on the staircase, walking sticks started throwing themselves at him. He said that he was the school poltergeist, Peeves, before threatening him to call the Bloody Baron, after Peeves left Percy led them up the stairs to a portrait of a large woman in a pink dress.
"Password?"
"Caput Draconis," The woman in the painting nodded her head and the portrait opened to reveal a gap in the wall. They all went through it and found themselves in a room, Percy explained that it was the Gryffindor common room. He directed the girls through one door to their dormitories. Leslie and Hermione stuck together and shared a dormitory along with two girls in their year, one was Lavender Brown and the other Parvati Patil.
The girls were fast asleep but the blue-eyed girl decided to stay up for a little bit, sitting by the window, looking at the night sky.⚡
The blonde was woken up by someone shaking her, she slowly opened her eyes and when they adjusted to the light she could recognize the person as Hermione.
"Come on Leslie. Get dressed or we'll be late for breakfast." The aforementioned girl sat up on her bed and nodded. She got out and dressed before going with her friend to the Great Hall. After breakfast, the brown-haired girl dragged her to their first class, Transfiguration.
The two girls sat down together and Professor McGonagall started her class. They were now writing on their papers when the doors opened and Ron's voice could be heard. Of course, they hadn't thought that the tabby cat was, in fact, Professor McGonagall. They continued the lesson until the bell rang. Both girls exited the classroom and made their way towards their next lesson.
They entered the dungeons and walked into Potions class, this time the blue-eyed girl sat with the redhead. The students were chattering until the doors slammed open and their potions master, Professor Snape, walked in.
"There will be no foolish wand waving or silly incantations in this class. As such, I don't expect many of you to enjoy the subtle science and exact art that is potion making. However, for those select few," He looked at Draco Malfoy, who smiled, "who possess the predisposition, I can teach you how to bewitch the mind and ensnare the senses. I can tell you how to bottle fame, brew glory and even put a stopper in death." He looked at the boy with glasses and Leslie noticed he was writing on his paper instead of paying attention to Professor Snape. "Then again, maybe some of you have come to Hogwarts in possession of abilities so formidable that you feel confident enough to not...pay...attention."
Hermione nudged her friend as the blonde watched the dark-haired boy getting told off by their Professor in front of everyone. When Professor Snape asked him a question he replied with 'I don't know' though his two female friends had their hand raised Snape did not pay them attention and Leslie gave up. When Harry did not reply, Professor Snape started answering his question and the only person to write it all down was the blonde and Professor Snape commented that before dividing them into pairs. Throughout the whole lesson the potions master criticised almost everyone's work, he seemed pleased with Hermione and Leslie's potion but did not say anything. The lesson ended and the students made their way to the Great Hall.

The two girls sat beside each other, in front of the boys. Once the food appeared, everyone started to eat. As they conversed owls flew into the Great Hall leaving packages and letters in front of students. Leslie noticed a newspaper in Ron's hands before he put it down. The blonde did not receive any mail and she reminded herself to write to her parents, the brown haired girl's voice pulled her out of her thoughts, she noticed a crystal ball in Neville's hand as it suddenly turned red. The blue-eyed girl looked around the Great Hall, she saw Ravenclaws with their noses in a book, Hufflepuffs tañlking with each other and the Slytherins acting as if they were kings. Leslie learned that Slytherin is only filled with what the call pure-bloods, wizards with both magical parents, and she wondered if there were any students like her in that house. She quickly swept the Slytherin table and then, ocean met storm.
Gryffindor and Slytherin students were outside aligned in two rows with brooms by their sides. When Leslie found out that she would be learning to fly on a broom, she felt like her heart might leap out of her chest, not even Hermione's tips she read about could calm her down. Standing with her classmates she had a brave face on but she was shaking on the inside. Their teacher, Madam Hooch, arrived.
"Good afternoon, class."
All the students replied, "Good afternoon Madam Hooch."
"Welcome to your first flying lesson. Well, what are you waiting for? Everyone step up to the left side of their broomstick. Come on now, hurry up." They did as she said.
"Stick your right hand over the broom and say, 'Up!'" a chorus of 'up' could be heard from the students. Leslie repeated the word but the broom lay still. After everyone had the broom in their hands, Madam Hooch showed them how to mount it and then how to fly off. Before she could blow her whistle Neville was already up in the air, clearly, by the sound of his screams he did not do it on purpose. He crashed into a wall and then as he fell he got stuck on a torch, he cried out for help before his robes ripped and he fell.
After Madam Hooch went with him to the hospital wing, Malfoy took the Remembrall which had fallen from Neville's pocket and snickered, "Did you see his face? Maybe if the fat lump had given this a squeeze, he'd have remembered to fall on his fat arse."
As he laughed, the blonde glared at him. Just because he's in Slytherin doesn't mean he can act like his better, she thought. But the platinum-haired boy did not think like her.
"Give it here, Malfoy," said Harry. Malfoy smiled nastily, "No. I think I'll leave it somewhere for Longbottom to find." He hoped on the broom and soared around the group. "How 'bout up on the roof?" He soared up and hovered above them, "What's the matter, Potter? Bit beyond your reach?"
The blue-eyed girl's friend grabbed his broom but knowing what he was about to do, she and Hermione stopped him.
"Harry, don't do it. He's not worth it. You'll get in trouble" But he did not listen to his friends and mounted the broom before flying off. The brown haired girl muttered, "What an idiot."The group watched as the two boys flew on their brooms, the boy who lived chasing the Slytherin. They watched as Malfoy threw the Remembrall and Harry quickly flying after it. When Harry landed on the ground after successfully catching the Remembrall, Professor McGonagall appeared calling for him. The blonde turned to look at her female friend, "Oh, no. I told him he would get in trouble."
Both girls had worry in their eyes as they watched their friend disappear into the school grounds.⚡
I'M SO SO SO SO SORRY I HAVEN'T POSTED IN LIKE 3 WEEKS but I had so many exams that I didn't have time to finish up the chapters. I'm really really sorry.
Anyways, so, I know not much is happening with Leslie's life at Hogwarts but trust me writing it from their first year is crucial for me, it will all make sense throughout the series, so bear with me. Now. I hope you enjoyed it, you can leave a comment and a vote if you please, thank you. Love you all.
