Leah woke up on the floor, drenched in sweat again. Another hallucination. She quickly pushed herself off of the floor and brushed her messy hair out of her face. The room was dark. Leah reached toward the wall grasping for a light switch. She flipped it and the room brightened.

Letting her eyes adjust to the light, she searched her mind for details of this new nightmare. She had never experienced anything like it. Previous visions kept her in familiar territory, like her home or office or the bookstore she liked to go to, but this one... This one took her to a place she'd never been before.

And she'd never been knocked out like that.

She was still shaking and sweaty, so Leah decided to ponder it more while showering. She peeled her shirt off and gazed at her chest in the mirror. At least she hadn't gained any more cuts. That was a relief. She checked her arms and legs as well. None there, either. Then she jumped as she saw something behind her in the mirror, but she blinked and it was gone as quickly as it appeared.

She steadied her breathing and turned on the water. The memories were flooding back to her. The kind, scary-looking demon. Leah wasn't sure what its gender was. It was wearing a suit and had a short haircut, but it had a more feminine voice and weight. It seemed as if it knew she was troubled, because it had literally dropped its drink to help her. Now that she thought about it, it was a hallucination she would gladly have again.

She liked that demon. As the warm water hit Leah's back, she wondered if she would ever see it again.
