Kylie's POV:

I woke up in a room that wasn't mine. I felt so lost until I remembered I'd slept over at Renee's house. I gasped when I saw her smiling down at me.

"Good morning!" She giggled.

I had no idea why I was friends with her. She was so bubbly and friendly while I hated everything. She kind of just kept talking to me on the first day of school and tagged along every where I went. I didn't have the heart to shoo her off and tell her she's annoying and to leave me alone. She had red hair (not naturally) and I had light brown hair (also not naturally), she had green eyes, I had dark brown eyes, I was antisocial, she knew everyone in the school. But over the course of the year I found out that the pros overcome the cons with being friends with Renee Dawson.

"What time is it?" I asked squinting at the piece of light that managed to find its way into her room from the cracks in her blinds.

"10:46am," she replied passing me a cup of coffee.

I took it from her and set it aside. I hate coffee.

"So you and Jack," she smirked.

"There's nothing to talk about," I looked up at the ceiling.

"There's lots to talk about!" She tucked some strands of hair behind her ear and leaned forward.

"He doesn't talk to anyone and suddenly he's taking you home and everything?! I want details, Kylie," her enthusiasm about this was causing me a headache.

"How do you know this?" I got up and supported my weight on my elbows.

She smiled, satisfied that now she had my full attention.
"Everyone knows, everyone pays attention to him. You're like his next victim or something," she whispered.

"Okay, why does everyone talk about him like he's a serial killer?" I shook my head.

"He's killed like 2 people with his bare hands!" Her eyes went wide and then she looked down, "or at least that's what I heard," she looked back up at me, "he's dangerous,"

"He can be very sweet," I felt the need to defend him.

"Or pretend to be so he can lure you into his trap," she laughed and walked out of her room to put her coffee mug in the kitchen.

I knew she was only joking but what she said could've been true. I remembered him pinning me against the wall.

"You're mine," the words and his voice sent chills up my spine.

I heard a familiar honk outside her house. I was terrified and began to shake when I looked outside to find a black jeep. Was he following me?

"You're Prince Charming awaits outside," Renee laughed as she plopped down on her bed.

I glared at her and jogged downstairs. I stopped at the door and contemplated on whether to go outside or not. Either way he saw me in the window, I'd look stupid if I didn't come out. I opened the door and walked towards his car. My heart beat faster with each step I took. What if he killed me right here, right now?

"Hey Kyles," he rolled down the window.

Oh, he has a nickname for me now.

"Uh, hi, Jack," I made sure to keep my distance.

"Wanna go somewhere?" He stared at me weird. Shit, he senses fear.

"No, I'm with a friend.. sorry,"

"Are you scared?" He still didn't take his eyes off me.

"What?" The sudden random question alarmed me.

"I can go away if you want," he finally looked down.

"No," I surprised him and myself with this response.

"I just don't wanna get hurt," I thought aloud.

"You think I'd hurt you?" I could tell he was a bit taken back what I'd said.

"No, I.. I don't know. I don't know you, at all. I know nothing about you," I said starting to regret this conversation.

"Clearly," he scoffed.
"I can't believe you think I'd hurt you. I want to protect you, Kylie," the expression on his face looked hurt and I felt my heart begin to sink.

"You're protecting me from all the wrong things.."

"I get I came on too strong, I'm sorry. And I reckon you've heard everything about me. You hate me," his voice began to crack.

For someone that looked so strong he was very sensitive.

"I don't hate you and I don't believe in those things," I was really hoping he'd look at me again.

"You don't?" He looked up at me with his beautiful brown eyes that made my heart melt.

I stepped towards his car and climbed in.
"No, I want you to stay with me. Protect me," I had no idea what came over me, he's like a magnet and he's pulling me in.

He leaned in and kissed me. Not with force this time, it was a passionate kiss. Something I'd never experienced before.

I broke the kiss but still lingered inches away from his face.

"And when I'm bad," I felt his shaky breathing on my lips from how close we were and I paused to run my hand up his thigh.

"Punish me,"
