After I took a shower I sat with Castiel in private so we could talk.

"So, what exactly can I do?" I asked.

"Quite a lot, actually," Cas said. "It'll take awhile for you to learn it all, and a lot of practice."

I was quiet for a moment.

"I don't need to learn everything, at least right now, just show me what I need to help save my brother," I said.

Cas simple stared at me.

His eyes betrayed what he was about to say.

"Don't you dare tell me it's impossible to save Jason," I warned.

He didn't break eye contact or day anything.

I looked down at my lap.

"Nothing is impossible," I said softly.

"Ashley," Cas said.

I looked up into his eyes.

"I'll help you in all ways possible, but please, don't expect it to work," He said.

I sighed.

"Can I say thank you?" I said.

He looked at me confused.

"For what?" He asked.

"For keeping an eye on me all my life, helping me when you could, comforting me the night my parents died," I said softly.

He gave me a slightly confused look.

"You knew when I was around?" He asked.

I nodded.

"I could always feel when you were around," I admitted.

"Hmmm," He mused.

That's when I remembered.

"You know your a real bastard," I said standing up.

I stood in front if him.

"What?" He asked surprised at my outburst.

"I know you were there when Tom was torturing the hell out of me," I said angrily.

"Oh," Cas said.

"I almost bled to death and all you can say is 'oh?' " I asked.

He stayed quiet for a moment.

"I would never have let him kill you," He said finally.

"Sure seemed like it," I snapped.

"If I had helped you out in every single problem you had, you wouldn't be as strong and as good of a hunter as you are. I have my reasons for not helping," He said. "But, I was always there, ready to step in."

I sighed and plopped back down into the couch.

"Your still an ass," I mumbled.

He chuckled.

"Ok, one thing you can do is control others emotions," Cas said.

I stared at him surprised.

"Really?" I asked.

He nodded.

"I'll show you," He said.

He looked me in the eye and a second later I felt really sad.

I felt tears rim my eyes.

"OK!" I said loudly.

The sadness went away.

"I can do that too?" I asked.

He nodded.

"All you have to do is think of the emotion, then push it towards them," Cas explained. "Don't even attempted to do it in me, cause it won't work."

"Damn," I mumbled.

"With practice you'll be able to do it quickly and with little thought," He added.

I nodded.

A loud sound came from outside.
