Later in the night, Meera took baby steps towards pool side where Arnav is sitting in the armchair lost in thoughts.
Life is way too ironic. He doesn't acknowledge her love for him and the other one who's not even with him rules his heart. People says time changes everything and she too waited for it to happen and still waiting. Alas! She sees No hope. Every Bit of her patience is slipping away. Perhaps, this time she should make it clear to him. Enough is enough!
Meera extended the coffee cup to Arnav breaking his spell and sat on the pool side edge dipping her legs in the pool. She's wearing shorts hence didn't need to trouble with bunching up her dress.
"You haven't slept yet?". Arnav asked taking a sip.
"Neither you, Arnav!"
"I'm sorry for the dinner".
"It's OK, Arnav. I didn't mind. When Aneri's father shows no interest in me then how can I expect it from her".
"You're mad. You're very good friend of mine. You do remember that, right?"
Meera smiled. "Even after all these years I'm remained only as a good friend of yours, Arnav. Whereas Aneri is still young and doesn't know me at all. So her dislikings justifies!".
"Meera!!". Arnav tried to calm her down.
"Am I not lovable, Arnav? What lackings I have that you don't even want to think about me despite knowing how much I want to be part of your life". Meera's tears flowed uncontrollably.
Arnav got up from his seat and sat before her wiping her tears. "You're making me feel guilty now".
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to". Meera said letting out an exasperated sigh.
"I... I never thought about you in that way, Meera!... apart from being a friend. I thought you too understood it".
"Pyaar krta hu tumse, Arnav. I have loved you more than anyone else in this world".
"I'm sorry, Meera. I will always have this guilt that I couldn't feel the way for you the way you feel for me".
Meera holds his hands in her and asks with expectations. "I will forget everything, Arnav! I will forget everything. Just promise me you'll think about us and give our relationship a chance; please! Can't you do this for me".
Arnav knows that he can't possibly do this. "Meera I.... "
"No, I'm not taking any no from you. Promise me, Arnav! warna mai maar jaunga". (Or else I will die)
"Shut UP! From when you become so childish! "
"YES or NO, Arnav?". That left Arnav with no option but nod at her.
Meera crushed herself in his embrace as soon as he give her a positive nod. "Thank you, Arnav! Thank you so much!"
Aneri huffed in anger seeing the scenario In pool side. That Meera's crocodile tears have broken her sleep which was good. Otherwise she would never known how effortlessly she's manipulating her father. If she thinks that she'll win then she's completely under misconceptions. No one can win over Aneri and she won't let this Meera to play with his father's goodness, hmph!!!
"Goodmorning auntie, good morning Anjali! " Meera greeted the ladies flashing her dimples.
"Good morning, beta! You're glowing today. What's the reason, hmm? "
"Had a good sleep, auntie!"
"That's nice to hear"
"Meera, why are you standing. Come, join us! " urged Anjali putting a stop her mother's nuisance.
