"Sir, Ms Gupta came in India on 3rd March along with her Aunt due to Her grandmother, Mrs Gupta's demise. And they'll be leaving for London tomorrow itself". Aman narrated like a parrot to Arnav.
"What has she done in a week. Anything I should know?".
"Sir, Ms Gupta maintained a low profile since she came in India. She went out for lunches with her friends couple of times. Then to some shopping centres. That's it!"
"Aman, why are you calling her Ms Gupta?"
"Sir, her credit card is registered in this name".
Arnav hummed in response and leaned back on his chair dismissing Aman from his cabin.
So, he was right. She didn't care. Neither earlier nor now. His fear has no root. Still, was it a mere coincidence that she met Aneri in dance class and today in store too. Or he is missing out some points.
He couldn't form in words what he felt seeing her holding Aneri's hand. Surprise -> Anger -> scared!!! are all he felt within those few seconds.Seeing her before his eyes after all those years can't match any surprise though. Soon that surprise turned into anger remembering what she had done with Aneri making him loathe the days he had spent with her and mostly questioning himself and his stupidity.
Lastly, panick stricked him realizing where her presence could lead them.
On their way home from the store, Aneri asked him again and again what went wrong and why khushi aka her auntie left her suddenly.
He had nothing to answer Aneri. Neither Aneri's over fondness on her newly found auntie did any good to his already heated mind.
She has been meeting his daughter under his nose and he had No clue. what does she want now.
Reaching home, the first thing he did was taking to anjali who was also confused seeing her brother unusual look. "Di, have you met khushi?"
Anjali for a second thought, she hadn't heard properly but seeing the serious look she become conscious too. "Chote! What happened?"
"She's back, di. And she has met Aneri. I'm not getting how it happened".
"What are you saying, chote? Did she tell Aneri anything?"
"I don't know di. Please talk to Aneri and get details. You know what's better for her".

"Bua, why papa is behaving weird. Isn't it great that mamma is back. Aap ko pata hai just yesterday I told papa to call mamma back. Looks like God has listened to my prayer, yahoooooo!". Aneri jumped in joy hearing khushi is no one but her mother.
She has seen her mother's picture but khushi looked different then that's why she didn't recognize when she saw her first.
Anjali just forced a smile and said nothing. Khushi is back that too after so many years and why?
Aneri is excited but will it still remain the same if she again meet khushi. She might have her own family now as Aneri mentioned she was with a kid in dancing class. Will she acknowledge Aneri; wondered Anjali. That's the biggest fear. Her niece will be broken if such incident takes place.
And her chote; how he's going to deal with this situation now. Neither he can stop Aneri meeting her again nor let her meet khushi again. The yearlong wounds haven't cured yet. How would he stop happening the inevitable again.
**********************
Khushi didn't tell about her sudden meet with Arnav in her house Knowing they would freak out. Some things better remain secret. Though she couldn't sleep the whole night. She kept tossing and turning on the bed thinking about the earlier incident in the mall. Some scars never heals and he's one of those scars in her life. Does he still remembers her or she's too ordinary to be remembered off. Is this question even valids when he has a daughter now. He must be happy in his own paradise with his wife and daughter. No wonder Aneri is his daughter. Like her father, she too stole her heart at the first meeting itself. It's good that she's leaving tomorrow. At least then everyone can breath in peace.
