All before the first chapter:
Daedalus is a Daetyrr, a white winged race advanced in flight. His kingdom called Raeryn has been ripped to shreds, all because of him. The Drae-Imps are closely related to his kind and have been allying in the ravaging war, against the Humans.
Before the battle they were aware of the attack before it started because of the assassinations of many Daetyrr's in the Elvish region.
The Elves not happy about the recent killings in their own kingdom, have now been heavily under fire by strange beasts. Some of the oldest creatures to ever exist and deadliest. An egg of a dragon has been found and was battled over by Daetyrr's and Humans. The dragon can either unite the land with a dragon rider, or split everything apart with raging fire.
The Mitsuruyuki (humanoid cat) have hidden their kingdom and left no trace of themselves.
Increasing fire on Raeryn, the Daetyrr's and Imps were forced to hand over the egg or face certain genocide. Unwilling to surrender the creature, Daedalus had a choice to take it and run.
Take it or go?
He knew they were going to die anyway. He scried Cats he entrusted with his life, to meet up and take it. But in the middle of fleeing he was shot in the wing.
Daedalus knows what he's done and it weighs on him worse than anything.
Death with not turn a blind eye.
Dwarves have allied with the human but by force, humans have a weapon powerful enough to make their home(mountain) cave in. They make weapons for them and provide supplies. But they will take any chance to be freed from the human kings grasp.
