"So you didn't even try to kiss him?" Emma groans as we walk into another store. We were shopping for props for our up coming photo shoot for the summer line in the boutique.
"No Emma. I told you it was just a thank you dinner." I roll my eyes as I look at some beach towels that might look good.
"You know any other girl would have been jumping his bones." She says shuffling through some chairs. "Everyone in high school wanted him."
"I'm not everyone." I state. I catch sight of a blow up ring and step into it. "Oh what about this?"
Emma turns to me before letting out a laugh. "What the fuck no." She raises her phone as I smile for her picture.
"Why?" I pout really wanting to use it.
"Because I'm the photographer and I said so." She smirks. She always pulls that line with me.
"A boring one." I mutter making her shove me.
"Shut up I take amazing picture. Speaking of, I've been talking to your mom..." She trails off.
I look a her and raise an eyebrow. "Yea and? That's kinda your job to figure out what mom wants."
"No, so we have a proposition for you." Again I was intrigued so I look at her expectantly. "We want you to be a site model. We both think you have what it takes and trust me I would know I shoot y'all enough."
I couldn't believe it. My mom was SO picky when it came to our site models. She wanted me to be one? I had never even thought to ask because I never thought she would agree to it. "No way? Who brought this up?"
"Your mom actually." Emma laughs. "She called me in for a meeting and brought it up. She asked me if I thought you had what it takes and I told her yes."
"You really think I can model?" I ask wearily. Sure it's only for moms boutique but still lots of people will see it.
"Absolutely, besides you've got the best photographer around helping you." She winks. "Please, we want you to start this upcoming shoot."
I sigh thinking over it. "I'll do it." I finally decide. Why not take a risk and do something out of my comfort zone.
"Ahhh yes! My bestie is hot and you need to flaunt it." She squeals hugging me. "I also have another proposition for you."
I groan not know what it could be. "Oh god what is it now."
"I think you should start a vlog on YouTube." She says making my eyes widen.
"Excuses me." I laugh. "Me? Vlogging?"
"Yes! Ash come on your life is amazing and you're hilarious. Plus I'd get to make lots of appearances." She begs. "Look I have a camera for you and everything!"
"Why do you have a vlogging camera?" I ask confused.
"Well I was going to do it but I realized I'm boring. But you, you're life is amazing!" She was just kissing ass now.
If I'm being honest I have thought about it. I do have a lot of things that would be fun to watch, plus it would be great publicity for the boutique.
"Why am I letting you talk me into everything today." I groan making her squeal again.
"Yes yes yes! You are the most amazing friend! I will bring the camera over later." She bounces with excitement.
"You're ridiculous." I shake my head as we make our way to check out.

Emma and I finished up shopping before going out separate ways. She had an engagement to shoot and I had some stuff to work on at our office.
"Hey sweetie." Mom greeted as I walked in carrying a few backs. "Get everything we need?"
I nod placing the bags on my desk. "I did. I also had a nice conversation with Emma about the shoot." I glance up at her knowing she knew where I was going.
Mom was smiling as she placed the iPad down on her own desk. "So will you do it?" I nod making mom push her chair back and come over to me. "I knew Emma could talk you into it." She grins.
"Yeaaaa she seemed to talk me into a lot lately." I laugh as she hugs me.
"I don't know whether that is good or bad." She chuckles pulling away. "But I'm glad you agreed because I've got another question."
"Good lord woman!" I joke.
Mom shakes her head putting her hands on my shoulders. "I want you to be the lead model on this shoot." Again my jaw dropped.
"Mom are you serious?" I manage to get out.
"I am." She nods. "Ashton you're gorgeous, besides I started this because of you when you were little. You were always wanting to model for me back then."
I laugh nervously. "I was like 5 mom. I'm 23 now."
"And more beautiful then ever. You have natural beauty, we need that for our store." Mom said taking my shoulders.
"Let the stressing begin." I sigh making my mom laugh. "You are your fathers daughter."
"Trust me I know." I say finding my way to my desk. "I still get to work on the marketing of everything though right?" I ask a little concerned.
"I would never take that from you." Mom smiles from across the room. "You're to good at it."
I know I complain about it but I do love it. It's not what o always dreamed of but it's still amazing. I get to deal with a lot of great people.
"Thanks mom. So what time do I need to be in tomorrow?" I ask trying to plan my dad.
"Prep starts at 8 am. Also don't eat anything after midnight until after the shoot." Mom tells me.
"Oh my god I'm going to starve!" I groan dramatically.
"I will take you out to lunch child! You just can't be bloated." She informs me making me roll my eyes.
"Yea yea." I wave her off as my phone lights up.
Dansby Swanson Hey I had a great time last night we should do it again sometime
I smiled at the text. Last night talking with Dansby was like talking with an old friend, nothing seemed awkward. I could really see us becoming great friends.
Ashton Kennedy So did I! I was actually thinking about having a bbq soon now that I'm getting settled in. You, Logan and Zach should all come!
Dansby Swanson We'll be there, when you thinking?
I pull up my calendar and begin looking at when I have an open weekend and seeing when the Braves where in town. Once I find a date I quickly text him back
Ashton Kennedy I'm thinking July 15? Does that work with y'all?
Dansby Swanson I'll tell the boys to clear their schedule, after game I'm assuming?

After talking to Dansby I immediately text in my group message with the girls to inform them of the party. Jess and Emma were obviously all about a party and Ally was just here for the social aspect. I also text my brother and told him that his ass needed to make the trip from Athens to Atlanta and see his big sister. I invited some other people to and before I know it I've got 20 people saying they would be at my house. I guess I better get to planning.
