"Alias.. look over there." She says, pointing to the high schools power couple of the year. "What is it?" I ask her. "You know how in love they are, yes?" "Yeah.. I mean, I guess. They're always together."
"But they still have a perfect balance because they still hang out with their friends. They take turns with who's friends they hang out with. They really are the best." She says in a sweet tone. "But?" I ask, unsure of what she's leading to. She looks to me, wrapping one of her slim, yet perfect, arms around me. Coddling me as she gave a mischievous smile. "Watch this." She says before leaving me. A trance I was in, finally disappearing. I watch as she walks over to them. A bit of chattering.. laughing... she touches the girl on the middle of her waist, then moves to touch the guy on his arm. Suddenly, the couple are laughing as they inch their way closer to her, and further from each other. She laughs a little and looks back to me, nodding me over. I walk over, and she takes me into an arm. "This is my friend Alias. He's a real cutie right?" She says to them and they nod with bright smiles. "I have to go do some studying right now, so I was wondering if you could entertain him while I'm away?" She asks and the two nod again, eagerly. "Yes, of course!" "We'll take perfect care of him." The two say and she smiles to me, winks, and walks off.

"Vionel! Vionel!" I call out running into the library. Glares, and shushes are directed at me before I make it to her table. She looks at me shocked, then smiles. "So? Did you enjoy yourself?" She asks and I sit down next to her. "Th-they were all over me! Bella- she-" "Shh!" Someone hushes me. Vionel looks at them, smiles, winks, and they look away with red cheeks. I lower my voice. "She was really nice, and held onto my arm, and Daniel? He was all buddy buddy with me. It was so weird!" I yell in a whisper. Vionel giggles a little. A moment passes and I ask her unsure of myself, "So you're.. your really a succubus?" She looks at me in disturbed shock and confusion. "Is that what you came up with?" She says with a bit of a disliking. She sighs. "I never liked what humans called us. And the stories you all have on us?" She scoffs. "So you don't go around killing mothers and kids, seduce men, lure people to their death, kill people in their sleep, or suck the life out of people with a kiss?" I ask all at once. Her eyes widen before she laughs, shaking her head. I only stare. "No, no I do not do... any of those things. Well, except this," She says before leaning over and kissing me, a hand on my cheek.
I could feel a warm electrical shock between us. My heart racing, nearly about to burst, and my head feeling like it were being lulled to a calmness with the softest cotton. My whole body tingling when she pulls away. When it starts to fade, I can feel my mouth moving and I hear myself, "More." I hear her laugh a little and the fog I'm in starts to clear. "Eh- ah wh-what was that?" I ask feeling numb. "Me feeding.. then returning what I took." She says, cautiously adding on the last part. "F-feeding? You fed on m-me?" I asked with a sense of dread. She nods, setting a hand on mine. "Relax. I won't hurt you." She says, and I feel a warm shock where her hand is. It's...calming. I relax and nod. "You said vampires were real too, right? And.. what did you call them-?" "Nymphs." She says. "Are werewolves too? And ghosts? Elves?" She stops me from saying more by covering my mouth. "Shh... come on." She says taking my hand and leading me out of the library and to an empty field on the edge of the school. Sitting down, she gestures for me to do the same.
"Come on. I don't bite." She says with a smile and I sit on the grass next to her. "Vampires. They don't suck blood. Nor do the burn in the sun. More so, they practically live in the sun. They do wear contacts though. And the don't sleep much. They can, but only on occasion. They don't get sick either." "If they don't drink blood, how do they feed?" I ask confused. "Thermal energy. Warmth. Body heat. Whatever you want to call it. By humans definition, vampires feed off of blood because it helps them live. Vampires aren't really alive though. Their hearts don't beat, but their blood moves because of the heat they have. In a sense, it's like their body system redirects the heat they take in and focus it on their veins, making their blood heat up to a boil, and vibrate into motion. It also helps them blend in with humans. Those that humans called vampires that were cold to the touch? It's because a vampire fed off them a lot or a vampire hasn't fed in days. Not sure where humans got the burn in sunlight part though." "Wow... wait but why do they wear contacts?" I ask confused.
"Their eyes have no color, so they come off as gray. They dye their hair too, but tanning isn't something they usually do. A lot of people are really pale, and vampires also have ethnicity from when vampires mingled with humans." I nod. "...and ghosts? Nymphs? Wolves?" I ask. She smiles. "I'll tell you about all of those except Nymphs. I have a friend that can tell you themselves. But there is more than just those; you'll learn in due time." She says, peaking my interest, but I nod, and she continues. "Okay.. so ghosts? They are real. But they are spirits. Seen only when they want to be seen. And just like people, they have different moods. They get lonely, but they aren't alone. They can see each other. And there are bad spirits just as well as there are good. Just like people. They're dead, so they don't have to feed off anything. They lack nothing but a physical form to our plane. Werewolves used to exist. But not at the time when people came to them, if you could even say they did. Humans came about werewolves when a disease came about that made the host have a lot of hair from birth. Actual werewolves though, didn't come about naturally. Indians that had become fearful of everything used the blood of wolves, vampires and some other mojo stuff, and injected it into themselves, giving them the ability to take form of wolves. The supernatural community have wondered if they found the existence of shapeshifters- which is a myth amongst us as we are amongst humans." I interrupt her for a moment.
"Supernatural community?" I ask. "It's what I call us. Sounds better than what other supernatural creatures call us." "What is it?" She grimaces then responds. "The Unknown. We're demons. But over time, as humans evolved with language, so did we I guess ." "You're a demon?" I ask nervously. She nods. "More or less, yes. I am. Those that aren't simply have demon blood in them mixed with something else. Myth amongst the supernatural community say Nymphs were created from the womb of goddesses and fertilized by demons. But the fact of it is unknown. Just like humans don't know the truth about their god."
"But what about the Nymphs? Wouldn't they know their parents? Or their... fathers, I guess; wouldn't they know considering they must have had-..." I hesitate, but she continues my question for me. "Screwed the other? You'd think, but the elders in the demon realm have no knowledge of anything. We all assume that goddesses- or gods- mingled with demons but kept their identity secret. Pretending to be human, hiding their supernatural energy. Demons mingle with humans from time to time, so it wouldn't be a surprise."
I look down and rub my forehead. "This is... really hard to wrap my head around." I mutter squeezing my eyes shut. "It's okay. You'll learn in time." She assures me. "Wait.." I look up at her. "Why are you telling me all this?" She smiles. "Well, you caught me when I was feeding with friends, remember?" She says on the edge of a giggle. "Yeah but, you could have made me forget, right? Or even just gotten rid of me? You nearly did when I first caught you, right? So why keep me around?" She looks at me for a long while, as though she were thinking about what to say. "My reason will remain unknown. For now, how about I tell you a small bit of it?" She says and moves behind me, wrapping her arms around me, lulling me into another trance. "You really intrigued me. You also are very special." She says. "What.. what do you mean?" I ask. "You'll find out one day...till then-" she pulls away, the clouds in my head going away, and she pecks my cheek. "You just have to wait till you learn!" She says giggling, offering me a hand. "Come on! Well be late for class if we stay any longer." She says smiling down at me. I frown and take her hand.
"Why are acting like this? No one is around right now?" I ask her quietly. "Of course there's people around, silly. Look." She points around the corner and two girls come around it, passing us moments later. I nod. "Ah.. right." I look down, understanding. "Hm? What's wrong Alias?" I look up at her and shake my head. "No, nothing. Look, there's class." I say, easing up my mood and pointing to the class door. She pauses and nods without looking away from me then tugs my arm. "Let's go then Alias!" She says excited. Just as we entered, the bell rang for class to start.
