Once upon a time...
Haha. This is a fanfic... I can't start it like that.
Take Two.
Hey! I'm Olivia Stephens, but my friends call me Livi. Or Liv, Oli, Livia, you get the idea. I'm sixteen, and have just left dance school. I've been to dance school since I was twelve, and loved every minute of it.
"Liv! Are you packed?" Georgie called up the stairs. Georgie is one of my closest friends, who I have shared a room with at dance school for our four years of being here.
"Yeah, I'm coming!" I called back, dragging my suitcase down the old staircase.
"End of an era, eh?" Georgie laughed.
"I know, I can't believe we're leaving."
"Yeah. Spent half of my life here." Georgie laughed.
"At least you can dance now!" I giggled.
"Oh shut up, you're better than me!"
"Mmh." was all I replied. My eyes started to well up, thinking of all the memories, friends and teachers I was leaving behind.
"Oh don't start going soft on me you Muppet!" Georgie laughed, bringing me into a hug. I calmed down, dragging my suitcase to the waiting taxi outside. Georgie put her case in, picking mine up for me and fitting it next to hers. I turned to look at the old mansion. The girls in there were having the best time of their lives, and they wouldn't even realise it until they left. We turned to see Sophie hauling her suitcase across the gravel path. The bag was almost bigger than her.
"Oi, midget! Need a hand with that?" Georgie shouted to her.
"Please!" Sophie replied, stumbling as the case wedged against the build up of gravel it had created. Georgie rolled her eyes, walking over to her. In one heave, Georgie picked up the case, slid it next to ours, and shut the boot.
"Sophie, you really do need to grow some muscles." Georgie laughed, resting her hand on her shoulder. There's one thing you need to know about Sophie. She may be small, blonde, shy and quiet until you know her, but her dead eyes are worth keeping away from.
"Okay. We ready to go?" I stepped in, preventing a full on Georgie-Sophie debate.
"Yep. Where are we going again?" Sophie asked, not yet realising she was going to have to live with her parents again.
"Home Soph." I replied, wishing it wasn't true. I live with my dad in Peterborough. I have two brothers; one older, one younger. CJ is my older brother, and I love him to bits. The CJ, that's his 'street name'. Stands for Calvin James, his first and middle name. He's really chilled out, and had always had my back. He looked out for me until I went to dance school, buying me sweets after school, and helping me with homework. I miss CJ. On the other hand, Rex is a little terror. He's nearly seven now, and is a real nightmare. His nickname? I have no idea. He wanted a 'street name' to copy CJ, and ended up with Rex. I don't mind it, because it reminds me of a dinosaur, and to be honest, he acts like one a lot of the time. I love my dad too, but he can be the whole embarrassing dad and more. His dancing is a big no.
"Hello? Olivia?" Georgie was snapping her fingers in front of my face. "Come back to planet earth."
"Oh, yeah. Sorry. Was in a world of my own." I smiled.
"Yeah, we noticed." Sophie laughed sarcastically. We climbed into the back of the taxi, taking one last glance at the building we have lived in for just over four years. Our friends and teachers, all stood at the gates waving different taxis full of our year off. Many were crying, many trying not to.
"Train station?" The taxi driver grunted from the front of the cab, disrupting our thoughts. We looked at each other, a reassuring look on each others faces.
"Train station." We spoke in unison.
