"Liv. Livi. Liv, wake up." I was being softly shaken awake. Yawning, I opened my eyes to see Ast leaning over me, a smile on his face. "Morning Liv!"

"Mmmh. Morning." I spoke, a little sleepy, wondering why Ast was in my room but coming to the conclusion I'd remember when I came around a little more.

"I brought you some Lucky Charms." Ast smiled, pointing at a tray with cereal and a glass of orange juice.

"Thanks." I mumbled. "What time is it?" I asked, not wanting to sit up to check the time.

"Nine. It's a bit early but you know." Ast smiled. I couldn't remember why Ast was in my bedroom, let alone why he was waking me up. Deciding I wasn't going to remember anytime soon, I started to question Ast.

"Why are you here Ast?" I asked, running my hand through my hair to smooth it out.

"Oh, I erm, wanted to ask you if you wanted to come out with me to my show round of the TV studios in about an hour." Ast spoke, looking a little nervous.

"Oh, Ast! I'd love to, but I can't. We have a family dinner, my Nana and Grandads coming around, and Dads making Sunday Lunch." I spoke, upset that I couldn't go with him.

"Oh, okay. Well no problem." Ast smiled, trying not to look bothered, but I could read straight through him.

"Sorry Ast!" I smiled, sitting up to hug him. A minute later and Ast pulled out of the hug.

"I better be going." Ast spoke, standing up. "I'll see you later Liv. Oh, and enjoy the family meal." Ast smiled, winking as he left. I laughed to myself, wondering if last night had any connection with why Ast came around this morning. I shook my head, still smiling, and picked up my bowl of cereals specially made by Aston.

Half an hour had gone by, and I was still laid in bed. Deciding I ought to get ready for my family coming around, I got up ready to shower, before stopping and looking out the window. I could see Ast stood by the bus stop, looking a little cold. I smiled, the cold making me think of the lake. I pulled on my hoodie and leggings, deciding to go and see Ast at the bus stop.

I was walking down the road, hugging my arms against myself to keep warm. It really was cold this morning. I was thinking about Meg, how she was probably at the hospital with her Grandad. I felt sorry for her, knowing how close they were. Looking up, I saw the bus driving past, and stopping at the bus stop. I stood still, watching as Ast stepped onto the bus. Walking forward, I tried to catch up with the bus. I don't know why, it was never going to happen, but I tried. I watched Ast sit on a seat, before looking up and seeing me. He smiled, waving. I grinned back, mouthing 'good luck'. I hope he saw it; he probably didn't. Walking back home I shivered, texting Meg. I couldn't see today being a good day, and I couldn't really understand why.

After showering, getting changed, and doing my hair, I laid back on my bed.

"Liv! Half an hour." CJ called up to me. I didn't reply. Just closed my eyes. You would have thought that after last night I would have been high as a kite. To be honest, so did I. But my head just felt like an incomplete jigsaw. Pictures everywhere but none of them making an image. I'd been best mates with Ast since forever, and he told me he likes me, and then I think I like him, and so we kiss, and now my head feels all fuzzy. I'm sixteen for goodness sake. I should be able to be used to boys and what not. I just feel like it's all wrong.

"Liv, did you hear me?" CJ asked, peeping his head around the corner of my door.

"Yeah, half an hour." I replied, still laid down.

"You okay?" CJ asked, sitting on the edge of my bed.

"Just feel a bit strange, that's all." I smiled, trying to reassure him.
