chapter one: doubts

A week before

Johnny's POV

"Mr. Orlando?" I snapped back to reality when teacher called my name.
"You zoned out." He said. "I'm sorry
I was just uh um-"
"Staring at Miss Ziegler? Yes,
We noticed."
Students laughed as my cheeks turned
reddish.
I hid my face in my hood.
My teacher smirked.
"It's okay to blush." He said.
"It's rosaeca!" I said.
"Suree, now can you answer the question I just asked mr. Summerall?"
I widen my eyes as I hit my best friend
with my elbow.
"Negative seven." Hayden whispered.
"Umm negative seven?" I said, but it came out more as a question.
The whole class started laughing.
My teacher took a deep breath.
"Mr. Orlando this is History."
I widen my eyes and
kicked Hayden under the table.
"I hate you Hayhoe."
Hayden just laughed.
"This is a payback for eating my doritos." Hayden chuckled.
Teacher decided to embarrass me even more:
"I guess Miss Ziegler has a bad
effect on you."
I couldn't see it but I can tell my cheeks were redder than a freaking
tomato.
Thanks a lot.
The worst thing about this is that
i have a girlfriend and
Kenzie is one of my best friends.
The bell finally rang.
I ran out as fast as I could but Kenzie
caught me.
"I gUesS mIsS zIeGlEr HaS a BaD eFfEcT oN yOu" she mocked
Mr. Miller's voice and I laughed.

We finally caught up with the rest of our group.
"Hey lovebirds." Finn smirked.
Kenzie quickly hit back.
"Says you." She said pointing to his and Maddie's interlocked fingers.
He rolled his eyes.
"It was a dare."
"Yeah sure." I said sarcastically.
"Anyways, where are the others?"
I said realizing that the only ones here were Jack, Finn, Maddie, Wyatt, Kenz and me.
Wyatt rolled his eyes. " Sophia is at the library doing her 5 page homework last minute and Jaeden and Lilia are probably sucking each other faces in the back of his car."
Jack laughed: "No way, Jaeden's to pure for that."
Maddie sighed.
"Stop making fun of him, you guys will be sad whan your hoe leaves you for a soft and caring boy like Jae."
I chuckled: "Mads I think you have a wrong dude holding your hand."
Finn glared at me.
"It was a dare. And by the way, where's Millie?"
"Yeah, I haven't seen her since yesterday in biology." Kenzie said.
Jack got worried. "Um is she okay?"
Oh yeah,
Everybody knew Jack has a crush on Millie except her. He gets her chocolate and flowers every Valentine's day. I mean, how clueless you gotta be?¿
Kenzie suddenly broke the silence.
"So what was the dare?" She asked.
Finn sighed and Maddie rolled her eyes.
"Sometimes I hate Lilia so much." Maddie scratched her head.
"The dare was to put super glue on our hands and hold it for 10 seconds.
And Maddie being Maddie put super glue on her hand and held mine.
I mean how stupid you gotta be?"
Finn explained.
They glared at each other.
"Good thing we have all the same classes today or we would have to cut his hand off, cause for sure, im not peeling this off my skin." Maddie said.
"It was your fault!"
Finn whisper-yelled.
"I didn't know it was this strong." Maddie defended herself.
Finn sighed and rolled his eyes.
"You're lucky you're pretty." He mumbled.
"What was that suppose to mean?"
Maddie narrowed her eyebrows.
"Okay now revenge."
Finn started running and Maddie had to follow him because... well they're stuck to each other. Literally.
By the time I realized me and Kenzie are the only ones in the hallway and zhe bell rang a long time ago.
"We're screwed up." Kenz said as we started running to our next class which was English.
