A weekend alone (Jally)

Chapter 14

dally POV

Later that day me and Johnny were walking home from the Curtis house and we decided we were gonna get married at least in 6 months because we were really young and it will be hard to find someone that will marry two guys. 

Before we left the house Steve said something about wanting a dog and that sounded like a good idea so now I wanted a dog. Me and Johnny are always stealing Steve and Sodas ideas. "Do you want a dog?" I said nonchalantly. "Sure why not" Johnny said smiling. When we got home Johnny said he was really tired and that he was going to go to bed early. 

When Johnny was asleep I decided I was going to try to find a place to get a dog. It was only five so it wouldn't be too hard. I finally found a place and went looking for a dog that Johnny would like, there were a lot of big and scary dogs that I would like but I know Johnny wouldn't. I found one dog that reminded me of Johnny because it was a tiny scared looking puppy with bug brown eyes away from the other dogs.

I got that dog and started to walk home with it. The dog place had already named it teddy but I don't know if Johnny wanted to keep that name or rename it. I got home and remembered Johnny was asleep, I didn't know if I wanted to wake him or tell him in the morning. I put the puppy down on the couch she fell asleep right away. I walked to me and Johnnys bedroom he looked so peaceful but I know he would be mad if I didn't wake him up right away. 

I picked him up so I was holding him like a baby. "Dal... I was trying to sleep" he mumbled as he rubbed his eyes. "I have a surprise for you" I told him while grinning. "Dallas if you're pregnant you're gonna have some explaining to do" he smirked. I brought him to the couch and told him to close his eyes. I sat him on the couch and put the dog in his lap and he screamed so loud I think I went deaf. 

I think Johnny said "awe" about ninety times since he saw the puppy. We decided to keep the name teddy for her "she looks like a teddy bear" Johnny said while holding her. It made me so happy seeing Johnny that happy. "Sorry Dal but I think she is going to sleep next to me now" Johnny said. "In that case I'm taking her back" I said sarcastically. 

Later that night I was trying to sleep but Johnny would not stop playing with her. I picked Johnny up and put him in the bed "you have to stop moving me places like that" he said. "You know you love it" I said putting my arms around him. "Is she hungry?" Johnny asked sounding worried. "You have fed her about ten times in the last minute I think she is fine" I said tiredly. "Did you get her a leash?" he asked, "yeah I got everything to take care of a living thing especially a father like you that will worry about her every second of the day, goodnight" I said as I fell asleep.

In the morning Johnny was up before me and I woke up to him chasing the little puppy who was tripping over its own floppy ears around the house. "Johnny, how are you awake its 6:30?" I asked tiredly. "Well, teddy was jumping all over me and looked thirsty so I gave her water then she wanted to play" he said picking her up. "I'm gonna take her outside to go to the bathroom" Johnny said running outside happily. "Swear he loves his dog more than me man" I said to myself.

Johnny came back inside about fifteen minutes earlier, he climbed on top of me while I was still in bed. "Dal...are you ever going to wake up?" he said in a fake sad tone. I picked him up and kissed him on the forehead. "Ok, i'll get up, but only for you" I said which made Johnny giggle. He squirmed out of my arms and ran over to teddy. 

Later, I got dressed and showered so we decided to take teddy for a walk and maybe introduce her to the gang. We left, Johnny holding the leash in one hand and my hand in the other. We made it down the street when we saw the whole gang except Darry who was probably working walking down the street. "Hey! did you get a puppy and not tell me?" Two-bit said running up to us. 

The whole gang really loved dogs especially Darry who will be mad he didn't see her with everyone else. Soda picked her up and wouldn't stop kissing her nose, Steve and Two-bit wouldn't understand we already named her and started screaming out weird names. Two-bit really wanted to name her Mickey Mouse but that would never happen. Pony was scared she was going to attack even though she is as big as my hand, but they all really loved her. 

We went back home and tried to train her not to use the bathroom on the floor and to only go outside. It was around five when we were really bored and Darry was probably home, Darry only lost his shit in an emotional way when he saw a tiny dog so we wanted to see Darry reaction. We told the gang not to tell him so we could surprise him. We started walking her over when we saw Darry truck. I told Johnny to wait outside with her and I went inside.

"Darry, shut your eyes I have a surprise" I said sneakily. "If you make a mess i'm not cleaning it" he said while closing his eyes. I ran outside and took teddy inside and put her on Darry's lap. "Oh my god!" Darry said while picking her up letting her lick his face. "Is she yours?" he asked Johnny while petting teddy. "Yeah we got her last night" Johnny said reaching for her. Darry blocked Johnny from taking teddy from him "You didn't tell me right when you got her?" Darry asked while laughing. Me and Johnny chuckled wondering if he was ever going to give her back to us. 

Later that night things got heated when Steve grabbed Soda's ass in front of pony (they really need to pick their moments). Pony slapped Steve in the face which made Soda yell at Pony which made Two-bit tell them to "Calm down! But Steve get a room". Which made pony say "exactly do that shit anywhere else" Which made Darry get mad at Pony for swearing. When we could tell everyone was mad at each other we put teddy down and let her run and jump on everyone which distracted everyone.
