I suddenly jolted up and caught a strong whiff of a musty, moldy room. Gross. It was dark, but I could make out a female silhouette sitting in the same chair I was in right across from me. "A-" I cleared my throat, "Allison?"

No response. "Allison!" I shouted, hoping she'd wake up this time.

A few short seconds later Allison shot up as well, frantically looking around trying to refresh her memory of where she was. She tried to get out of her chair, but like me, was bound. The chains gripped us tightly around our wrists and ankles. There was even a chain wrapping around our waist. Once she realized she couldn't get out, Allison started panicking. She wasn't exactly the calmest person you'd meet.

Then she got really quiet, really fast. Our heads quickly turned to the direction of slow, but loud booms. They got nearer and nearer until all of a sudden, they stopped. The door creaked open and a hand came in, fishing for a light switch, then flicking it on. Out from what seemed to be a hall, came in a young man. He seemed to be in his early thirties but his eyes looked distressed. Can't blame him, the apocalypse will do that to ya. But, something made me believe that it wasn't the apocalypse that distressed him. He closed the door behind him.

The young man continued making the booms as he walked over towards us, stopping in front of me. "Glad to see you fine ladies awake." He shot me a wink. "We needed a few ladies to help out here in our camp, since there's not many left."

"What do you want with us? Get me out of here! I'll put your head on a stick and feed it to the mutants! Don't try me!" On and on Allison went. He finally turned towards her and taped her mouth shut. "I see whose first. Feisty aren't we?" The young man unbound her, carried her out of the room, and shut the door.

I was the opposite of Allison, calm and collected. Being otherwise would only get you killed, or worse.

I quickly looked around, seeing if I could unwrap myself from this metal-mess. Sadly, there wasn't anything strong enough to cut or break through the chains. So I just sat, and waited. I know it was kinda selfish, but slowly I was thinking about all different plans and scenarios on how I could escape. Im sure Allison could handle her own.

While I was thinking, I was disrupted by Allison's familiar screams, and then some other screams that were deeper and less feminine, that I didn't quite recognize.
