Justin's P.O.V

          "You know.. I was surprised when you reminded me about today, kinda thought you were starting to forget about me" Michael laughed and I shook my head "how could I forget about the one person who was my friend since.. the beginning of the school year" I said as he smiled. "I like the new look.. of course the old one was good too" Michael said as I smiled and we walked down the park while holding popsicles in our hands as we talked.

"So what do you want to do?" I asked and Michael looked around "let's go in there" he said and I turned to the forest. A lot of kids went in there to find interesting things, just to look around and I heard there was a beautiful garden deep in there but not a lot of people make it because the forest is very confusing so they give up and return back. "You want to go on an adventure?" I smiled as he grinned and nodded.

Michael and I began walking through the forest and I bit my lower lip as I began thinking about what to say. We haven't said much since we've got here. "So how's track going?" I said as he shrugged "pretty great.. the seasons almost over so that's great" "you don't like it?" "I do, it's just that I can finally have some time to myself" he laughed and I nodded in understanding. "Aren't you in rotc?" Michael asked and I nodded "yeah.. sergeant first class.. not something I'd really brag about" I laughed "it's better than having no rank at all" Michael chuckled "true" I said.

"You have brothers don't you? Twins?" "Yeah.. Jason and Derek" "ah Derek, he's pretty known.. you know, with being president and all, I don't really hear much from your other brother though" "Yeah he's been through a lot" I said as Michael nodded "that's okay" he said. "How come Jason has a different last name?" "Well Derek and I have our moms maiden name and Jason has our dads last name" "Ooh, that's cool" Michael smiled as we continued walking down a pathway. "Jason and I aren't very close.. not since I came out.. which was in middle school" "sorry about that, why do you think so?" "I wouldn't exactly call Jason homophobic.. I mean he's fine with Derek being bisexual but when it comes to me he's just really different" "maybe he's fine with bisexuals but not gays, some people are like that" "I don't get it" I mumbled.

"Like.. men.. they watch lesbian porn all the time but when it comes to gays, they're suddenly homophobic and super judgmental and yet they get off to two girls making out" Michael snorted "that's stupid" "yeah well.. there are people like that unfortunately" "do you have any siblings?" I asked, "Yeah.. I have a little sister who's in first grade and a brother who's in middle school" "Aw" I smiled as Michael grinned "they mean the world to me.. they're amazing and I'm really gonna miss them when I head off to college" "where you going?" I asked "to Chicago, my grandparents live there so I'm gonna be going to school and working while living with them" Michael grinned.

"What do you want to do?" I asked "I want to be a coach, I love sports and I get along well with kids" Michael said as I smiled "that's amazing" I said and he stopped as he looked around, there were about five different ways we could go.

"You lead the way" Michael said as I looked around before picking the second to last pathway, "you think we'll make it to the garden?" Michael said as I shrugged "I hope so.. it would be so cool" I smiled. "What do you plan to do after high school?" Michael asked as I bit my lower lip "hmm.. I'm not sure but I definitely want to work" "you plan to stay in town?" "Well I definitely want to have a place of my own.. but I'm not so sure how far I want to be from my mom" "ahh.. my mom can't wait for me to leave" Michael laughed.

I grabbed my phone and scanned through all the messages from people at school,  "it's so overwhelming having many messages" I said and responded to them. "A lot of the girls like your new look.. and a lot of the guys want to be around you because you attract girls" Michael snorted and I smiled as I looked down "it's too bad I'm gay" I said as Michael bit his lower lip "everyone knows you're gay right?" "Yeah.. I told a lot of the girls but they still hang around me, I think they're trying to change that" I said.

"Justin" Michael said as he stopped and as soon as I looked up, Michael pressed his lips against mine and I froze in shock but my heart felt like it was bursting and my cheeks began to warm up as I kissed him back. Michael smiled as he pulled away and turned around "we made it to the garden" he said and I looked to my right to many different kinds of flowers everywhere and a pond, the view was beautiful.

"I wanted to tell you that I like you Justin" Michael said and he seemed nervous, I think because this was his first time with a boy. "I like you too" I said happily as I smiled widely.
