Derek's P.O.V

"This is so romantic" Ariana smiled as we were sat outside by the park on a comfy picnic blanket eating spaghetti and champagne. "I planned this all for you my love" I said and leaned towards Ariana as we kissed each other softly. "I got you a gift" she said and pulled out her purse, she grabbed a small box and handed it to me as I grinned.

I opened the box to reveal a gold bracelet "wow this is amazing" I said as she smiled "and I got myself one that's rose gold so we could match" she said as she held out her wrist. "It's perfect baby" I said as she grabbed my arm and wrapped the gold bracelet around my wrist. I kissed Ariana and grinned "I love you" I said as she blushed "I love you too" she said happily. "I also got you something" I said and opened the picnic basket, pulling out a bag as she squealed in excitement and opened it.

"Oh my.. this is so cute!" Ariana held a dress in her hands and I grinned "there's more" I said and she held a lingerie piece as I winked and Ariana giggled "This is beautiful baby! And I definitely plan to wear this dress tonight" she smiled as I raised a brow "tonight?" "Yeah! I thought maybe I could take you somewhere too" "but I-I can't" I said as she frowned "why not?" "I have other plans" I said.

"Doing what?" "M-my mom, I'm going to be with my mom" I said. Which was a lie, my mom is actually going to be with my grandparents today "Ooh.. I see" Ariana frowned and I nodded "I'm sorry baby, it's just that my dad is still in the army and I don't want her to feel lonely" I said as Ariana nodded in understanding "that's fine, I get it" she said. "I love you okay?" I said and kissed her once more as she smiled.

After my date with Ariana I quickly changed into a new outfit that I had gotten ready and grabbed everything that I needed. I heard a door and walked down the stairs to see Justin smiling as he stood by the door "Hey" I said as he smiled "oh hey" he said and ran to his room. I rolled my eyes playfully and texted Ethan before heading to my car.

Once I arrived to Ethan's house I knocked on the door and he immediately opened the door with a smile "hi" he said happily and I wrapped my arms around his waist "happy Valentine's Day baby" I said and handed him flowers "thank you" Ethan smiled shyly "let me set everything up" I said and made my way downstairs to his basement. Ethan had a very nice basement, there was a lot of space and it wasn't a creepy basement at all, it was comfortable and nice.

I began spreading out lots of pillows and blankets on the ground in front of the couch and grabbed the Christmas lights as I hung them around the room. I set up the movie on the TV and Ethan soon came back with a box of pizza, "my parents went on a trip for Valentine's Day so we have the night to ourselves" Ethan said as we laid down on the blankets and i kissed him softly as he wrapped an arm around my shoulder, deepening the kiss as he sat on my lap.

"I want you" Ethan said as I groaned and took his shirt off, kissing him again. Suddenly we were interrupted by the sound of a person clearing their throat.

I turned around to see Ariana standing by the doorway with her arms crossed and I quickly shoved Ethan off of me "Ariana!" I said as she quickly turned around and left, I ran towards her and grabbed her wrist "Ariana!" "WHAT!" she snapped as my eyes widened.

"I-I'm sorry" I said "I need time to think Derek.. I-I can't even look at you.. just leave me alone and DON'T call me!" Ariana said and ran out the door as I cursed to myself. "I-I'm sorry" Ethan said and I sighed "I don't even want to think about it.. can we just watch the movie?" I said and Ethan nodded as we made our way downstairs. While watching the movie, my mind was somewhere else.

When I returned to school I carried my suitcase as I walked towards my team "I'm so pumped for Florida!" Sarah cheered as I chuckled. My team was very excited as we waited for the bus to arrive to take us to the airport, it wasn't coming for another hour. "Someone's here to say goodbye" one of my team mates said as Ariana stood by the building and I smiled as I walked towards her.

"Can we talk?" Ariana said and I nodded as we sat down on the bench. "How long have you been with him?" "Eight months" I said as she sighed "how?" "I don't know.. I meant to tell you.. just not before competition" I said as she sighed "so that's why you're always with him.. I'm so stupid! How could I not notice?" Ariana sighed and looked at me.

"Do you love me?" "Of course I do!" "Do you REALLY love me? Do you see a future with me Derek?" Ariana said as I shrugged "yeah" I said, a bit unsure and caught off guard. "Then when you come back I want you to give me your decision.. it's either me or him" Ariana said as my eyes widened "but I need to—" "no more I need to focus on competition B.S! I need an answer!" Ariana said and I sighed "okay fine" I said as she stood up.

"Good luck at competition" Ariana said and left as I sighed. I grabbed my phone and stared at a photo of Ethan that I had as I smiled. "Come on Derek! We're going to take a team photo!" Mr Andrews said as I nodded and ran towards my team.
