A year had gone by since Wylan and Jesper's wedding. It has been the best year of their lives. On this particular evening, it was their anniversary and they were out celebrating with a romantic dinner.
They both left Inej and Kaz to watch the house while they were gone.
The two lovers haven't really made a decision on whether or not they wanted to be a "thing" around other people. The people of Ketterdam were brutal and the criminals were even worse, the last thing the both of them wanted was for one of them to get hurt because of the others wrong doings in the city.
It was dark outside and the mansion was empty, except for Inej was upstairs in the bathroom washing herself and Kaz in the kitchen just staring at plate of cookies Nina left out before she left to go on a "sweets spree" as she called it. Kaz wasn't sure if he wanted to eat that kind of dessert because he actually had something else in mind.
Inej was in the huge master bathroom, that had close to a swimming pool sized bathtub. It took a long ass time to fill it up but eventually, it was filled to Inej's liking.
Inej stripped her clothes off and got in, there were a plethora of different types of bubbles that mad Inej feel like a kid again. She was having a lot of fun with them, after blowing bubbles off her her hands nine hundred times she just relaxed. She took her hair out of her braid and rested her head on the wall of the tub and closed her eyes.
Kaz was done looking at the plate of cookies and walked upstairs to see what Inej was doing. Hopefully she wasn't sleeping, he didn't want to wake her up.
When Kaz walked upstairs he went through all the rooms to find her, when he got to the master bedroom he saw candle light from the bathroom.
He softly knocked on the door.
"Hey Inej, you in there?" He asked
"Yes, you can come in if you like" She responded, sounding very calm.
"You sure?" Kaz asked making sure
"Yes" She said giggling
Kaz opened the door softly and walked in. His eyes traveled all over the room, from the candles to how big the tub was. Then he saw Inej with her hair out of her braid and how the bubbles just barely covered the top of her breasts. She looked so calm and peaceful, he wanted to join her because it seemed very stress relieving. Also it wouldn't be bad if something a little "naughty" happened Kaz though to himself.
Kaz mentally laughed for the wording choice in that sentence. What the hell has gotten in to him?
"Are you going to stand there and stare? Or are you going to come join me?" Inej asked with a slight smirk.
Kaz raised an eyebrow and smiled.
"I guess I can join" Kaz said with a child's grin.
Inej laughed and watched Kaz walk over to where she was sitting. She turned her body around rested her hands on the edge of the pool along with her head on top of them. She looked up watching Kaz take off his shirt.
The tall man took off his pants and left his boxers on. He was about to get in when Inej stoped him.
"No, take those off. I am naked so you have to be too" Inej said smirking.
Kaz smirked back "Alright" he said taking them off.
Inej moved and told him to sit behind her. She sat in Kaz's lap.
She leaned her head back on Kaz's chest. He wrapped his arms around her waist and put his head in the crook of her neck and started kissing up her jawline.
