"Karen?" I asked questioning myself.
After all theese years was she finally back and was that a child!?! Was it mine? Did I have a son? Who just happened to be half sun. As the intense heat radiated from the sun rays I knew this had to be my son.
"Yeah" replied Karen.
Patrick looked at me how would explain to my husband on our 5th anniversary that my ex-girlfriend had turned up to one of our concerts with my 13 year old son who just happened to be part sun.
"Pete, who is this person?" asked Patrick.
I looked into his eyes took a deep breath and said "She my ex from years ago and I think this is my son"
"Yeah he's yours" added Karen.
I expected Patrick to be sad or even angry but instead he just looked at me and said "It's fine barneys mine"
I saw barneys mouth fall open in amazement.
"Karen" I enquired cautiously " will you, our son and Barney come to dinner with Patrick and I after the show"
"Ok, we need to talk anyway. Good luck with the show guys"
And with that she was gone.
