The truth part 1 - Karens pov

I anxiously swirled the spaghetti around my plate. I had just explained to Pete that he was a father and that I didn't mind looking after a sun on my own. However everyone seemed to be taking the news well and Barney and my son were over the moon that there hero's turned out to be there parents and they were now related.

Then pete asked the one question I'd been praying that he didn't ask.

"Wait" said Pete "How come he's half emo half sun"

I took a deep breath at looked around "I'm sorry, I can't hide this for any longer and now your here he has someone to care for him I can finally be myself again"

"I don't understand" replied Pete.

"I'm sorry"

I said goodbye to Barney and Patrick, thanked Pete, and kissed my son goodbye.

I turned away and removed my glasses and waited.
