A/N: shits about to get serious. We're getting close to the end.
---Flower POV---
It's on the news. It's in the damn news.

Girl burnt to death in local park. Suspect not found.|
----————————---------—————————————|I looked at my sleeping EX- wait, why do I keep calling her 'my EX'? She's not mine! She's a person! Goddammit. I probably have a crush on her don't I? Wonderful. Anyway!
EX was on her side, she had her head resting on some comics, and her legs were resting on my lap. One of her arms was acting like a pillow for her head, wrapped around it like a snake, and the other was shot out, resting the forearm on the futon, with her lighter in hand. Her mouth was open with some drool leaking out. She was wearing the same navy blue hoodie that I had her wear when I first escaped with her and a pair of cheap black boots (she was pretty attached to the look). The hood almost completely covered her face in shadow. I felt my heart get just a tiny bit faster at the thought of her wearing my clothes.
I shook my head fast enough to give myself a headache. My hand rubbed my temple to calm my throbbing mind. If this goes on, I might end up doing something worse than what EX did. I shivered a bit at the thought of going crazy over a crush.
I do think we need to cover some things up. I grabbed the boots I had worn the night of the killing, I looked at the ones that EX had worn and reached for those as well. I needed to get rid of these. But how? My brow furrowed, and my forehead creased in apprehension. If I'm not careful, things will go very wrong.
I just hope, that I can get us through this.
---EX POV---
I was pretending to sleep, because I couldn't actually sleep. Every time my eyes closed, Flower's horrified face appeared. Behind my eyelids, in my reflection, it haunted my minds eye like a ghost. Flower dropped the paper she was looking at, and I stole a glance. The headline stopped my heart. My breaths shallowed. My eyes widened in sheer horror.
I... had killed her.
No... No... No...
I sprang up, and ran out of the treehouse, stumbling without my cane. I needed to see this for myself. I pressed forward even as I heard Flower yelling for me to stop. I was dashing to the park. I was almost there, but the parking lot full of rocks was probably going to be a problem. I ran in, eyes searching for rocks. I noticed they had all been moved into a yellow bin, leaving the ground clear of any tripping hazards.
I almost got to the park, before halting. The police were fanned out near the park, police tape covered so much of the area it was scary. There was an outline, near where she had probably dropped dead in the snow.
I felt for the lighter in my pocket, needing some assurance. I backed away before anyone could see. I ran back into the crowds back through the shops, etc. and as soon as I got near the edge of the woods, felt arms wrap around me. I realized how I was dressed, and prepared for the worst as I turned to look. It was just Flower, that let me calm down a little, but that calm didn't last long.
"Ah'm srry fo gilling er! Ah didn'th mean choo!" I felt my throat choke up from the sobs.
"It's okay, you didn't understand what was happening and you saved me from a beating." Flower smiled at me and hugged me tightly.
