Me?! An Avenger?!

Chapter 1: My name is Amy not 'Hey lady'

I woke up to a constant beep as if it was a heart monitor. I open my crusted eyes too look around to see where I was. It was so bright in this room that I thought I was in heaven. But then my eyes adjusted and I realized I was only in a hospital room. But it didn't faze me one bit. This wasn't my first time in a hospital room. I went to grab a glass of water that was on my bedside table. But as soon as I looked over at the table and I saw the water floating in the air right above the cup and it was dispersed like it was on a flat surface.

"Oh no! Why does this keep happening." I mumbled to myself. Then it just fell to the floor with a splash. Then I heard the door open and I turned my head a bit to look at the door, I wouldn't move my body much it was kinda sore. I see a guy mid to late twenties walk into my room. He was wearing khakis and a very nice green button up shirt that was tucked into his pants with a brown belt holding his pants up; and he had a baby brown leather jacket over his button up. Right after the button up guy an older guy late thirties, walked in he had dark skin and was wearing all black, he even had a black trench coat and an eye patch. I scooted back to the edge of the hospital bed to put some space between us the best I could.

"Please don't be afraid, we won't harm you." Button up said, something about him and his personality relaxed me. But only a little bit.

"I'm Director Nick Fury. I'm the head of S.H.I.E.L.D." Eye patch man said. " This.." the 'Director' said pointing at button up "is Captain Steve Rogers. The first Avenger." Mr. Rogers gave a little curt head nod.

"Cool, why you talking to me?" I directed at them, starring the 'Director' square in the eye.

"Well, Rogers here saw something special in you. So, show me because I have my doubts about you." 'Director inquired of me. I gave a little snicker, fine, Ill show you good for nothing men in black. They both looked at the ground unexpectedly. I decided to take the water particles out of the air above both of their heads and hover it over Blackie the Pirate and wait for them to notice it. Blackie looked right at me with a look that said everything he was thinking. Captain Crunch tapped Director doubter pants on the shoulder and pointed up. Matrix barely caught a moment to see the water floating above his head when I dropped it on him. He looked so angry and he had this look on his face that said you really didnt need to do that. He took his right hand wand wiped the water out of his one good eye and flung it onto the ground in one fluid motion. He gave a look to the Captain and walked out.

"I guess I passed the test." I said getting up to go to the bathroom. Wincing with every other step I took. I get into the shower and cleaned myself and assess the damage. I look at my body find a bruise then a few moments later they would disappear like they were never there to begin with. I get out all squeaky clean and get dressed in a button up and jeans, then walk out of the bathroom. I found Mr. Rogers playing on his phone with is back to me. He didn't hear me leave the bathroom so I walk up behind him and say.

"Whatcha doing Mr. Rogers?" It startled him and he jumped and looked back at me.

"We already signed you out and you're good to go." He told me. "Furry is waiting for us in the helicopter. But also please don't call me Mr. Rogers it makes me sound and feel old. Call me Steve or Rogers or Cap." Steve continued.

"Will do Cappy Wappy. Let's go cranky head won't wait forever for us." I said impersonating Eye Patch. Steve laughed and lead me to the stairs and up and out the door at the top to the copter pad. I hopped in the helicopter and Steve followed me. Then once we were buckled in we were on our way to the S. H. I. E. L. D. Headquarters I'm guessing.

When we got to the S.H.I.E.L.D headquarters. It was like a floating aircraft carrier, the deck of the aircraft looked exactly like what I imagined a Air Force base would look like, busy and full of planes. Once we landed and got out of the helicopter they both led me into a giant room that was half glass windows looking out over the water and full of people working on computers and a fourth of the room was filled with one giant round table. There was a giant eagle engraved into the middle of the floor, right under where the Director would stand, and since he only has one eye there will be a lot of turning whenever he is supervising everyone on the computers. They led me over to the part of the room with the table. I noticed that there were already people seated at the table. Two out of the 5 people seated at the table I knew and started fangirling because I idolized them they are so smart and inventive. I know everything about them, from Starks first invention and deal with the military to all of Banners 7 PhDs. I grab Steves arm so that I won't fall on my face, because I know I will. He turns to me too see what I needed.

You didnt tell me Tony Stark and Bruce Banner were apart of the team. They are my heros. I rushed through my words getting more and more excited. Steve lets out a little chuckle while his arm slips out of my grasp I stop walking and my eyes drift from the Philanthropist to the Good Doctor and back. Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god. I cant wait to meet them. Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god. I then noticed that there were other people at the table. There was a girl with fiery red hair and black leather, and there was a man with a bow that Im pretty sure was making a makeshift bow out of rubber bands and toothpicks. I know this because he shot a toothpick at an apple that was sitting in front of Tony Stark, and Tony just glared at him as if saying dont shoot my apple. Then he picked it up and pulled the toothpick out of it and took a bite from the apple.

"Alright Avengers, I have called you here to announce our new addition to the Avengers initiative. Her name is.." Furry started to explain as Steve sat down. "Amy Livingston." Steve jumped in. They looked around and were confused then looked back at Fury with questioning looks.

"I'm right here." I said to all of them.

"Uh, how did you do that?" Stark turned to Banner who was sitting right next. How did she do that?

"Do what?" I asked

"Appear out of thin air?"

"I was here the whole time."

"Hmm interesting." Dr. Banner mumbled to himself. Mr. Stark took a bite of his apple and chewed thoughtfully on his apple trying to figure out how I appeared. We all watched Tony as he poured himself a glass of water. He brought it to his lips to take a sip.

"Hey who....." He said before he saw the water just floating in the air right in front of his face everyone saw this.

"Oh! Sorry." I told Mr. Stark then the water fell in his pants.

"Shit Lady!! You didn't have to drop it on my pants!" Mr. Stark exclaimed.

"I didn't mean to Mr. Stark, I can't always control it." I say defensively. Everyone just laughs at Mr. Starks outburst.

Avengers please introduce yourselves. Steve instructed after everyone calmed down.

"I'm Clint Barton." The guy with the bow said. Shooting another toothpick at Stark earning a glare in return.

"I'm Natasha Romanoff." The fiery red head said. Letting a small chuckle escape her lips.

"I'm Doctor Br- Doctor Banner started to say.

I know who you are Doctor I am a HUGE fan of your work, and all your 7 PHDs. I interrupted him. He shoots a embarrassed smile in my direction. I then turn my gaze to Tony who looked offended that I wasnt a fan of his. Dont pout Tony Stark I know you too I have studied all of your deals and work, especially your mechanics. I am a fan of yours as well. Tony looked pleased to have a fan. But Dr. Banner is still my favorite. I said through a smirk. Steve let out a laugh.

"I'm, as you already know, Steve Rogers." Steve said. I gave a gracious smile to everyone except Tony. I just smirked at him.

"I like her already." Natasha said letting out a small laugh.

"Me too." Clint said putting the rubber band down on the table.

"And me." Dr. Banner and Steve said in unison. I laughed at what they said and Stark just gave me a playful glare and walked off

"Rogers show Miss. Livingston around the base." Furry yelled behind him as he walked over to his command center. Steve stood up and walked to the door and beckoned me over to him.

"Let's go see this ship thingy!" I exclaimed excited. I grabbed his hand but before Steve and I left the room I turned on my heels and look directly at Tony. Oh yeah and Stark, my name is Amy not Hey, Lady. Then I turned back and dragged Steve down the corridor with me away from everyone's laughter. I noticed Steve's cheeks get a little red. Aww he's blushing. That is sooo cute. I thought smiling to myself. I smelled food and I was starved since I hadn't eaten breakfast. So I pulled Steve along, looking for food. I found it in the cafeteria. I opened the door and Steve was just in shock.

"How did you find the cafeteria it is like the hardest place to find." Steve asked.

"I just followed my nose to the food, cause I looooveee foooooood!" I exclaimed giggling. He just chuckled along with me. I go and get some fruit and a bean and cheese burrito.. Steve noticed my food choice and got some yummy food too.

"Well if you're gonna eat well I'm gonna eat too." Steve said and came to join me.
