Republic of Acorn city of New Mobotropolis; several minutes later...

The personal aircraft of Ixis Naugus soared overhead the city as it made its way to the airport, getting clearance from the air traffic control tower to land as the jet proceeded with it's landing down one of the airport's runways. A few seconds after the jet had came to a complete stop, a door opened from the side as Ixis exited the aircraft, his mutations not being visible as he was doing his best to hold them back in for the sake of public appearance.

As he walked out, he had the book in his hand while the staff in his claw as he made his way out of the airport "Finally, the Republic is in my grasp. Most of the troops have been notified at the garrison of an address I will make... little did they know, they're going to be under my mind control once I read the Eldritch" Ixis thought to himself as he had a smirk on his face, while he was walking over to the military garrison of the city that housed many Royal Army troops and hardware.

About a few minutes passed before Ixis entered the garrison as he saw divisions upon divisions of troops gathered for the "address" that Ixis was going to make, all of which were standing in front of platform with the Republic's logo on it. Ixis made his way on top of the platform as he stood before the troops, standing behind a pedestal with a microphone, the troops looking up at him at attention.

One of the troops at the very front of the others then walked over to the top of the, looking to be a male brown furred fox with blue eyes although the left was covered by an eye-patch as he wore an Acorn commanding officer outfit. He approached Ixis from the side and gave a quick military salute "King Naugus, all of the able bodies of the garrison have been assembled for your address" The fox said.

"Very good, Amadeus. Now get down there with the rest of your men" Ixis replied as he placed the book on the pedestal, opening it a bit as the fox named Amadeus nodded, before he stepped off the platform to stand with his fellow troops. Ixis kept his eyes on Amadeus as he walked over to the rest of the troops, before he quietly cleared his throat and gave a loud tap with his staff, as to signal that the address was about to begin.

"Loyal forces of the Royal Army, all of you have gathered today for a very important reason" Ixis spoke into the microphone as the troops in the garrison paid their full attention to Ixis as he was making his address "And that reason is..." Ixis spoke before he glanced down at the book... before he began to speak in an unrecognizable language, confusing most if not all of those listening to him... little did they all know, he was speaking the words necessary to activate the effects of the Eldritch Rite.

Soon enough, the book he was reading from began to shine a glowing green light from it as he progressed with the enchanting, showing complete concentration as he was doing so. "King Naugus, what's the meaning of this?!" Amadeus asked out of concern but only to receive no answer as Ixis was speaking "...Your minds... are mine!" Ixis said with a wide smirk as the book glowed brighter, before he continued speaking in the unknown language.

"Wha- AUUUGH!" Amadeus said before he felt a very sharp pain in his head, as he held his head from instinct and knelt down on one knee. "General, are you oka- AGGH!" A soldier was about to ask before he felt the same pain as well "Quick, someone sto- AAAAH!" Another spoke as he was about to point his weapon at Ixis before she too, succumbed to the same pain in their head. Soon, just about every troop gathered was feeling a sharp pain in their head, as Ixis was taking control of their minds, some troops even kneeling down and collapsing on the ground from the sheer pain.

After about a half minute but seemed like hours, Ixis stopped speaking in the language as he closed the book and looked over to the many troops that had succumbed to the Eldritch Rite's effects, as the last of the pained screaming were dying down before complete silence filled the garrison, some of the troops on the ground, others kneeling or standing.
