Recovering Epilogues (Part 5)

July 2nd 3238; New Mobotropolis

It has been a couple of days since Ixis Naugus had attempted to take over the Republic of Acorn by controlling the minds of the Royal Army garrison at New Mobotropolis. The city itself in terms of structural damage had quickly been rebuilt the day before, thanks to the efforts of Nicole's nanites and Zarvokian Cetravix Atom Construction Vehicles. On that very day, the rest of the Council of Acorn returned to city to fulfill their duties as counselors, including Sir Charles and Isabella, who were brought back to the city via the ZFAS Velocity. Zarvokian soldiers had also left the city entirely, and left the job of protection to the Royal Army, which was reinforced by some personnel from Fort Acorn, and a new batch of Metal Sonic Troopers.

However, even with normal life in the city came back, it would be a bit of time before everything truly went back to normal. A memorial site was built at the Julayla Memorial Garden to honor those who had perished in the coup; the names of average citizens, brainwashed Royal Army soldiers, and Zarvokians alike were put up on the memorial site so they wouldn't be forgotten by their loved ones. Meanwhile, Dr. Horatio Quack was working restlessly over at Tommy Turtle Memorial Hospital to heal up anyone wounded in the coup, as well as those who were wounded before. It'll be days or weeks before those wounded in the attack could return to their normal lives.

Ixis Naugus on the other hand was right back in New Mobotropolis' prison, as he was detained in a maximum security cell that had the proper measures to keep him from escaping. Of course, he was enraged beyond reason that his attempt to take over the Republic had failed... but yet he still plotted to take over the land, and even plotted a way on how to escape... more than likely however, he would be kept in the prison unless an outside force broke him out. As for the purple Chaos Emerald on his staff, it had been retrieved and was brought to Secret HQ covertly by Silver.

After Ixis Naugus openly tried to take over the city and stopped, the Secret Freedom Fighters officially disbanded on the previous day, with the wolf twins Lyco and Leeta saying their goodbyes to the rest of the team to return home to the Wolf Pack Nation in Soumercia. Larry, still wanting to have a purpose in his life, decided to join the Royal Army as a covert agent. Silver also departed while saying his goodbyes, before leaving the city in search for the cause of his endangered future. Shard actually became the new captain of the new Metal Sonic Troopers, who didn't even hesitate to turn down the offer. Elias Acorn and Harvey Who on the other hand...

Uncle Chuck's Diner...

Both Elias and Harvey Who were at Sir Charles' diner, accompanied by Sir Charles himself, along with Adex, Nora, Isabella, Jules, and Bernadette. The seven of them sat at a large table as they were enjoying their meals. Elias at this time was wearing the royal acorn king uniform along with a crown, implying he had became king once more under the people's will, while Harvey was no longer in disguise and wore a red smoking jacket. Adex still wore his faction leader uniform while Nora and Bernadette went back to their casual clothing, with Sir Charles and Isabella still wearing their councilor uniforms.

"How are you enjoying your food?" Jules asked before sipping on a can of oil with a straw "Your food is always prepared nicely, hon" Bernadette said "Mhm, I can see why it's rated five stars, it's delicious" Nora said when her mouth was empty "I'd say, this is even on a level where royalty can enjoy" Elias said in agreement "I cannot complain, it's good" Harvey said. Seemed everyone had great compliments about the food... Isabella however, had barely touched her food as her head was lowered, which Adex noticed.

"...Councilor? Are you okay?" He asked her, who looked up at him while the others faced them "Oh, um... yeah I'm fine. I'm just thinking about some things" Isabella said "...What kind of things?" Adex asked, while Isabella went silent for a bit "It's okay Isabella, you can tell us" Sir Charles said to reassure her of any doubts "...It's my daughter. She hasn't been the same since Ash..." Isabella said before pausing "Oh... right, the... oh dear" Bernadette said "...It must be tough for her, isn't it?" Adex asked "It is... she hasn't even came out of the house when she came back. I'm worried about her" Isabella said.
