NCIS LA "I do"

Chapter 6

After the incident with Kensi and her cousin, Hettie takes a step back and gets comfortabel behind her desk. She puts on a cup of tea. Then Owen Granger comes down the stairs from opps. He approached Hettie. "Hello Owen. Can I interest you in a cup of tea?" "No bag, that makes it taste like paper". Owen gives her a handgesture as a sign that he declines. "Well then, what brings you to my desk?" Hettie asks with a innocent tone in her voice. "You know perfectly well why I am here" Owen says and tried to stare deep into Hettie's eyes. "Do I?"Hettie answers him playfully. "Why is miss Blye still on the case? This is clearly family related! She should be home with a two weeks leave notice". Hettie sighs. "Look Owen, as far as I am concerned, miss Blye is function just fine. As soon as I see a change in that behaviour, I will pull her out!" Owen sighs and laves Hettie with her tea.

Sam and Callen arrive at the basis where, as Eric and Nells information told them, captain Rose should be today. As they enter the basis, the two post guards at the gate give them a full check for guns and knives. Nowone enters this basis armed. "We are looking for captain Rose, we want to talk to him about a special task force, do you know where we could find him?" Sam asks one of the guards politely. "He should be training some troops in that old building over there. But I should warn you, the captain has not been himself for quite some time". Sam gives her a confused look. Then they take of towards the rusty building. As they enter they can hear a man screaming things like: "sucker, don't be such a p*ssy, even your mother can do better than this!" "I believe we found captain Rose"Callen says with a playfull look to Sam. "Captain Rose?" Callen says, and without waiting for an answer, he continues: "We ar NCIS. We believe you can help us on a case". The captain was clearly not expecting visitors but quickly recovers from his suprised face. "Dismissed men, back in 10 minutes". As the troops cleared the room, he comes towards Sam and Callen. Sam grabs the picture of the crime scene from his backpocket and gives it to the captain. "Do you know this man?" The captain looks at it closely but denies knowing the man. "Well his name is Benjamin Jones and he was he was in your special task force. A task force we would like to know a little more about" Callen says. The captain doesn't even flinch but replies: That's confidential, Even the president doesn't know of this operation". Sam looks surprised. "May I ask why? is it a illegal task force?" The captain clearly disturbed by Sams doubts, blows them off. "I suggest you two gentlemen let yourselves out now, before i have to call my men to use you as practise". Callen and Sam did not see that coming. "Allright, we will go now, but we will be back" Sam says. "I am sure you will" the captain replies with an evil smile on his face.

Meanwhile, Deeks takes Kensi out for a coffee. Clearly an excuse to talk to her about the case in private. "So how well do you know your cousin?" Deeks says as he takes a sip from his cup. "Well enoughto know he is not capable of this..." she says. "Are you sure you wanna stay on this case? I mean, I'm not saying you couldn't handle it coz you can but this can get pretty personal" deeks asks her and gives her a thoughtful look. "That's exactly why I want to be on this case. He is my cousin and I am surten he is innocent, I must clear his name, the family name. I cannot leave that in someone else's , knowing that I could do it myself. Does that make me selfish?" Kensi asks Deeks, expecting an honest answer. "Well you've always ben selfish but emm..."he says with a joking voice. Kensi interrups him by stamping on his foot and leaving the table towards the car, "Awe come on, I was joking" Deeks tries to get over the situation. Kensi starts the car but before she drives off, she yells: "let's see how funny you are when you can walk back! For real this time!"
