There was a pink mist that formed around me. I began to struggle breathing.
“Is there anyone there!?” I screamed desperately. My vision began to blur. Until I heard a voice calling for me…
I sprang up from my bed in shock. This wasn't the first time I've had this dream. It has only soon begun to show up again. My clammy hands were making it hard for me to grab my phone. I wanted to listen to music. I finally gained hold of my phone and saw what time it was.
“Shit.” I muffled. Hurrying to get ready to go to class. I missed breakfast already. I was puzzled why my alarm didn't go off but continued to rush out the door. When I ran out to the lobby of the dorms I ran into someone and dropped all of my art things.
The large man began helping me pick things up. We looked upwards at the same time, our faces close. It was Kim Meosjin. His eyes looked into mine. Those deep dark hazel eyes almost made me melt. I caught my composure reminding myself he was only using me and stood straight. I took my things from him and began to walk off.
“You don't want a ride?” He said as he caught up with me.
“Why would I need a ride?”
“I noticed you weren't in the cafeteria this morning. Meaning you might be late for class. I came to offer you a ride.”
I knew what he was doing. I gave him a cold look and rolled my eyes. “Let's go.” I said in defeat. He cheerily lead me to his car. He opened the door for me and them got in himself.
The car started with a loud roar and ran smoothly afterwards. The seats were leather and the floors were cleaned off. You could tell he recently cleaned his car from the scent of lemons and vacuum.
“So what's your first class?” He looked in my direction as if studying me.
“Uh,” I stuttered from the way he was looking at me. “Sculpting with Mr. Cha.”
“Wow that's a hard class. You're passing?”
“Yeah I am. It’s actually not that hard to me.”
He gave an understanding nod and began to drive in the direction of where Mr. Cha’s class was. The five minute ride was silent. I reached for the door handle and Meosjin grabbed my other wrist.
“I'll see you again at lunch?” He seemed sincere about wanting to see me, but I knew what was really going on.
“Yes and thank you.” I got into the classroom and Mr. Cha was was getting ready to start docking points for anyone who was late. I wandered to my station and began the process of sculpting. I was in midst of creating a devil’s head. Although I was really into my sculpting, my mind started to think about other things.
I wonder if Meosjin is actually going to be waiting for me in the cafeteria. You know what's odd? I haven't actually seen Alice yet. I know she's upset over this, but usually she would be trying to break me down by now.
I wonder what actually happened between them that made Meosjin want to go this far. What do I do if it's not all and act? Maybe he really does like me. I can't even remember what happened in elementary, I tried to forget about everything. I guess I succeeded then.
Okay Alice and Meosjin… Alice and Meosjin… Oh that's right, of course.
Just as I began to remember again, a loud cracking noise followed by a furious boom stopped my train of thought. It was my sculpture, in my thoughts I wasn't focused on what I was doing and made the horns too thin at the bottom, allowing them to become top heavy.
After examining what happened, I noticed everyone was staring and mumbling. I started to feel their eyes sink in to my body as if they could feel my cold broken soul. I heard their murmurs that my ears ring and I began to see less and less. A dark ring formed around my vision as I could feel myself falling on to the floor. Everything went black but there was a sharp pain in my head.
