Every Night Is Another Story

The twins where walking towards school when Haley caught up to them

"Hey strangers" Haley greeted them

"Hmm. No stranger than you." Maya replied shooting a grin towards Haley

"Did you get my message last night?" Lucas asked her

"Nah. I was, uh, at the library late. Midterms." Haley said awkwardly

"Yours or Nathan's?" Lucas questioned

"Both, actually."

"Well. Good luck with that." Luke stated to which Maya nodded her head in agreement

"You're cool with this, right? I mean, last week, when you said you didn't trust me..." Haley asked them both

"I know. I didn't mean that. Alright? I meant I don't trust Nathan." Lucas explained before leaving the girls and walking towards Peyton

"Hey hales, you would tell me if you liked Nathan right because I just want you to be happy" Maya questioned her best friend

"Yeah of course, I mean you would tell me if this whole Nathan tutor thing was hurting you right" Haley replied

"Yeah hales, I promise am good, I get Nathan's attitude abit more now but still if he's a ass to someone I care about and going to put him in his place.

Nathan walked up to Haley and Maya outside of school

"Haley! Hey!" Nathan said while jogging to catch up to her

"Hey." Haley replied slightly shocked. Nathan sent Maya a smile which she returned from where she stud behind Haley

"Coming to the game tonight?" He asked Haley

"Um... I don't know." Haley told him

"You should come. We always beat the crap out of the Pickerington Hicks." Nathan stated

"They're called the Hicks?" Haley asked confused

"You May be smart but sometimes come out with the stupidest stuff" Maya commented which made Nathan have a small smile

"Well no. But they should be. The place is all pickup trucks and mulch." Nathan explained "it's definitely worth the road trip? I will look for you" with that Nathan walked away

Once Nathan had walked away Maya sent a look towards her friend knowing there was more the just tutoring going on between them

"What" Haley questioned

"Nothing, just thinking" Maya told her before walking  into the school

Lucas and Maya where in the kitchen when Karen entered with two dresses a red one and a black one

"Okay. What does this dress say to you" Karen asked the two

"Uh... beware of crazy ladies who talk to dresses." Lucas joked

"No, come on. Really. I need your help. Single and successful or married to her work?" Karen questioned

" mum you will look nice in both of them, but I like the black one more" Maya told her

" is this for that justice league thing?" Lucas asked his mother

"Small business league. And yes. It's one of the few times a year I get to dress up and I'd like to look nice." Karen explain to her children
