ONE

Last game of the season,everyone is waiting for that.Time for some time off and to spend the time with whoever and wherever you want it to spend that's what it means for the football players.

Manchester United was playing away with Leicester.The Championship trophy was already given to Manchester City and as the game didn't matter,a lot of young players got the chance to start and play so as to prove themselves for the squad for the next year.Jesse was on the bench.

He couldn't wait for the final whistle,he wanted to rush to the changing rooms and get his phone he needed to check that he hadn't received that email but he knew he couldn't,if he would he would most likely get shouted at and he didn't want that.

No sooner had the referee blew the last whistle that he ran to the changing rooms.All he wanted was to head back to his apartment,chill on the couch and watch a movie.

He opened his locker and he went to check that one box.When he made sure that everything was there he took his towel had a shower and after saying his goodbyes to everyone he left.

He sat on his car and he opened the car's radio,as he was trying to find his phone from his bag so as to connect his phone to the car in order to listen to his favorite Drake album,when he came across with the letter.In the beginning he was confused but after a few second he already knew what that was about,it was the one email he wished he hadn't received only for him to realized it wasn't an email but a letter.

"Dear Jesse,
We are in a pleasant position to announce that you and Marcus Rashford have been selected as the duo to represent us in your beloved hometown Warrington.You two will be flying tomorrow morning and you will be training the local academy during the summer.Have fun and we are sure that you will do an amazing job."

Jesse shook his head.Even though he had felt that he was going to be selected he wished he hadn't.He couldn't imagine how it was going to be walking back there.He didn't mind that he was going to spend his vacation training the kids,what bothered him was the fact that he had to step a foot there after walking out of everyone.

6 years.6 whole years since the day he had left his town,his family,his friends,6 years since he had left her.Even though it had been 6 years and he had become one of the most known Premier League players no one in Warrington had said anything,not a simple word about him,or send a picture to the press.

The following day soon came and he had to come face to face with what he tried to avoid the last 6 years.He didn't have a choice though.He was afraid of what he was going to face but he was going to sooner or later,.He had already packed and he was waiting for Marcus text to start the drive.

        By the time they had reached Warrington a weird feeling came back to Jesse.They had to be in the local academy in a couple of hours so as to be represented as it was a surprise to the locals which two Manchester United players were going to be.He had to get himself ready for any situation he was going to come up with.He knew that he was going to see his mother there and her and he knew that however their reaction was going to be he deserved it.

For Sophia on the other hand it was a normal Monday.She took Kirsty to the school and normally she would go straight away to work but today Dele was coming to visit so he went to pick him up.She had taken the day off as she had to pick up Dele and then Kirsty wanted to go to the Academy to see the two Manchester United stars that were going to come.Sophia was wishing that the familiar face wasn't one of the two and in fact she was almost sure that he wasn't after all he was the one that left town.

When the time came Dele went to the academy to get seats while Sophia went to pick her daughter from School.Her being the mum she was, she didn't let her go without eating and that's why they had to stop at home so as for Kirsty to eat.

They were late and Kirsty couldn't wait,she loved watching football.Dele had taken her to numerous games and she would always watch the boys in her school play.

Sophia was holding her daughter's hand as Kirsty was running,excitedly.

Jesse on the other hand was really nervous,the kind that get you all sweaty.He knew everyone,he even knew most of them personal but he hadn't seen or talk to any of them.He was afraid of their reactions.

He got to the academy earlier than Marcus and he took a glance into the academy to where the stands were.It was full packed.

"Of course it's full packed."He told himself.

Everyone in Warrington loved the sport,most of the people in Warrington were supporting the red devils so the presentence was expected.

They were a few minutes left until he was going to be presented and he got a text for Marcus telling him to meet up in the entrance.

Moving up to the entrance there was no one left,everyone was on their seats waiting for him and Marcus to make their appearance.

He sat on one of the steps taking his phone.He clicked on his Instagram app and he was scrolling down when a little girl bumped into him.He prevent her falling by putting his arm in front of her and thanks to that she didn't fall.

"Sweetheart i told you to hold my hand,thank god you are okay."A familiar voice came out of nowhere.

"But you were talking with Uncle Dele mummy and i don't want to lose the players."The little girl told her walking down the stairs.

Soon the familiar for Jesse voice suited a figure that was coming closer to him.When he was in the position to take a clear glance on the figure he stood freeze.

He watched as the little girl jumped on her mother while her mother took her on her arms.That was the moment that the mother saw Jesse standing there.That time she was the one to stay still.

Sophia couldn't believe her eyes.Even though that earlier today she tried to make different scenarios on how she was going to react if he was going to be one of the two players she wasn't ready to face him,not yet,let alone when she was with her daughter.

"Can we go now mummy we are going to be late."Kirsty broke the tension.

"Yeah sweetie."Sophia put her daughter down,taking her hand.

"Excuse us."She lastly said before disappearing.

Jesse was in shock.He had just reunited unexpectedly with a part of his life.Before Jesse could proceed what had just happened Marcus came.

"Are you ready Jess?"Marcus told his best friend but Jesse was still watching to the way Sophia had left.

"Jess i am talking to you."

"Yeah sorry should we go?"Jesse told him looking at him.

"Yeah are you okay?"Marcus asked him.

"Yeah everything's perfect."Jesse told him but Marcus could sense that something was up.
