"Arrow, you're not having any more ice cream, it's bedtime." You told your son. Jughead was out doing "serpent business" and had been gone for a while. Just like every other night.

"Mommy." He whined, strutting over to the freezer.

"If that tub comes out of the freezer, you're going in timeout." You warned him and he slowly began opening the door.

"Arrow Jones." You raised your eyebrows. He stood with a plain face as you put the dishes and bowls into the dishwasher. He opened the freezer and took the tub out.

"Timeout." You told him, taking the tub off of him. You shut the freezer door and picked him up.

"No mommy!" He shouted and you let out a sigh putting him in the corner.

"And what's going on here?" Jughead asked, entering the trailer. Arrow tried running towards him.

"No dude, five minutes in the corner." You told him. He pouted and sat there. Jughead took your arm and led you into the kitchen.

"You've got to stop being so rough with him." Jughead spoke, your eyebrows creased together.

"Sorry?" You couldn't believe what you were hearing.

"He's a toddler Y/N, he shouldn't be in timeout every single time I walk through the door." Jughead sighed.

"You don't have the right to tell me crap like that. You're never here enough to know his attitude towards not listening. You didn't get dinner for three days when you didn't listen as a kid so don't you dare criticise my parenting skills." You let it all out.

"Damn all I said was that he shouldn't always be in timeout." Jughead muttered.

"Well maybe all you say is too much sometimes Jughead! You're never here anymore, you're never here. You don't see what he does and doesn't do. For example, Arrow learnt how to count to ten on his own. Who was there to see it? Me. His mom. Not his dad, just his mom." You told him and he blinked hard.

"You know I do what I do to keep our family happy." He tried to reason.

"You do what you do to keep yourself happy. Look around Jug, we're not smiling." You put your hand up and went back to Arrow.

"You know why you were in timeout right?" You asked, bending down to his height.

"Yes mommy." He whispered. You put your arms out and he came into them.

"I'm sorry." He apologised, putting his head in the crook of your neck as you slowly rocked back and forth.

"It's okay baby, just start listening more." You whispered, kissing his head. Slowly but surely he began to fall asleep and it was about time because you didn't think you could handle putting him in the corner again today.

"You're am awesome mom, you know that?" Jug asked as you slowly closed the door to Arrows room as he lay asleep.

"Didn't sound like I was before though now did it?" You questioned, walking straight past him and into your bedroom. You changed into some PJ's and turned the lamp on.

"I should've never come in and said that stuff." He told you and you nodded.

"Look, I'm not trying to say, be here every single minute of every single day, but more effort would be nice?" You sighed, getting under the sheets.

"Y/N, you're here every single minute of every single day. You can't tell me I shouldn't be. I should be stepping up my roll as a dad and a boyfriend. I'm so sorry." He apologised.

"I honestly hope you do. I accept your apology. Stop putting your job before your kid." You reminded him and he kissed you.

"I'm still not sorry for the way I acted earlier though, you made me angry." You admitted.

"I would've totally acted the same if I were in your shoes." He replied. The door to your room was soon opened.

"Mommy, Daddy?" Arrow yawned, his teddy bear clutched in one of his hands.

"You should be asleep little man." Jughead told him, going over and bringing him onto your bed.

"I love you." He yawned, before falling asleep in between the middle of you both. You and Jughead looked at each other and smiled widely.

"There's a time in life where this is just everything I could ever want." Jughead whispered to you.

"You and me both babe. Let's get some sleep, he'll be up in a few hours wanting more ice cream." You joked making him laugh.
