he caught kunpimook staring for a little too long.

"take a picture, it'll last longer," he said smoothly.

kunpimook allowed a small blush to creep across his cheeks. "o-okay."

yugyeom looked at him oddly. "why okay? people normally make a snarky comment. are you too nice?"

but yugyeom saw why in just a moment. kunpimook quickly pulled out his phone and snapped a picture of yugyeom.

"hey! i wasn't ready!"

"you still look cute, though. and now it's mine forever. can you believe it?"

they walked up to the door of youngjae's home, yugyeom carefully intertwining his fingers with kunpimook's.

youngjae answered the door, smiling brightly. he leaned in to give yugyeom a hug but quickly stopped himself when he saw kunpimook.

"c-come in! the f-food has been ready for a few minutes. my mom is really excited to see you!"

"come on, kunpimook, we're finna go on our first date."

and youngjae felt the little happiness he had inside him melt away.
