Camila sighed as she drove away from the cemetery where her fiancé and her Aunt now resided. Of course, it wasn't her blood related Aunt, it was her fiancé's. But the woman took her in as her own, therefore she was family to the girl.
"You okay?" Camila asked her younger brother. Once again, her finacè's. But the boy was like her own.
"No." He replied. Camila nodded and continued driving what used to be their Aunts truck back to their house.
"Do you want anything to eat?" She asked. "No." He replied again. Camila sighed and continued driving.
The both of them didn't want to talk, so they made no effort to even attempt anything. Camila just needed to make sure the younger boy didn't need or want anything because he was her responsibility now.
After 30 minutes of driving in the traffic filled streets, they reached the cafè where now only the two of them lived. It was their Aunts cafè and the apartment was right on top of it.
Hiro got out of the truck, shutting the door behind him, before he walked up to the door and tried opening it. That's when he discovered that it was locked. He groaned and rolled his eyes before turning around and crossing his arms. Camila grabbed the keys and quickly got out of the truck, knowing how bad the boy wants to go lock himself in his room. And she completely understood giving the circumstances. Camila jogged over and quickly unlocked the door after fiddling with the keys for a few seconds. She let Hiro in first before she walked in and locked the door after.
By the time she turned around Hiro was already gone and up the stairs. Camila sighed and started taking off her coat as she walked to the stairs. After climbing up them she hung up her coat and took off her boots. She went and sat down on the couch, laying back and looking up at the ceiling. Camila let out a long sigh, her eyes started filling with tears as she thought about the current situation. She grabbed a nearby pillow and hugged it, stuffing her face into it as she let out sobs.
Why did that stupid fucking man drive while drunk, she thought to herself. If only they hadn't taken the shortcut home, they'd be fine, she thought once more.
After thirty-two minutes of straight crying, she threw the pillow down beside her and wiped her face. She say there for God knows how long before walking up another flight of stairs and got to the younger brothers room. Hiro used to share a room with his brother but, unfortunately that isn't true anymore. Camila sighed and knocked on the door. After not hearing an answer, she opened it and saw the younger Hamada brother asleep, hugging a pillow. Camila figured he had cried himself to the point of passing out from dehydration once she saw the tear marks on his face.
She walked over and took off Hiro's shoes before covering him with his comforter. She left a soft kiss on his cheek before backing away and closing the door ever so quietly. Camila walked back downstairs and got some pajamas from her bag. She walked into the bathroom and changed, throwing all of her black clothes that she had wore for the combined funeral in the hamper. Camila threw her hair up in a messy bun before walking over to the couch and laying down.
She had no interest in doing anything. She didn't want to clean, listen to music, watch tv, nothing. She however did want to take a nap but she knew she couldn't fall asleep. Camila closed her eyes and thought about how she became a member of the family.

"Thank you again Cass for letting me stay here. I promise I'll be out of here as soon as I get enough money for an apartment." Camila promised her kind boss.Camila was 16 and homeless. Her birth parents didn't care for her when she was born and immediately gave her up for adoption. She was in and out of adoption homes. They were all terrible. Some parents were abusive, some just needed money, and some just adopted to try and save their marriage.
Camila had run away from countless homes back to the orphanage. When she was 15, she got adopted into a rich family. She thought everything was gonna be okay. However, she was wrong. The people didn't want her as soon as they found out about her mental issues.
Camila was bipolar and depressed due to a lot of the homes she had been in. She had medication and the father had found them in her bag. Camila decided she didn't want to go back into anymore homes so she ran away. But that time, she didn't go back to the orphanage. She stayed in homeless shelters. Camila looked way mature for her age so she didn't get questioned.
Eventually Camila decided to get a job. She was walking around town and saw that a cafè called the "Lucky Cat Cafè" was hiring. She applied and got the job immediately. She got payed minimum wage. Due to school and having to get to the homeless shelter at a certain time so she could get a spot, she only worked 4-6 hour shifts, which wasn't enough to get an apartment.
One day Camila didn't get to the shelter on time and didn't get a spot. She tried another shelter but was denied entry because they were also filled. And just her luck, it had started raining.
One of her bosses nephews, who she had became good friends with, had saw Camila on his way back from the supermarket. His Aunt had needed a few things and was busy cleaning so she sent the older Hamada brother out. Camila had lied to him and just said her phone had died. Tadashi, the older brother and nephew, had left his phone at home to charge. So he offered a ride back to the cafè so the poor girl could call someone to pick her up.
Camila had came clean to her boss after knowing she couldn't lie anymore. Cass had offered her couch to the girl and Camila took it. She figured she could crash there for a little while and then get her own apartment.
"Hey, stay here as long as you need. I know you think I'm probably just your boss but, I can be your friend too." Her boss replied. Camila smiled and hugged her, knowing her boss loved hugs. Cass happily hugged back. "Alright, I think it's time you get some sleep sweetie. It's late."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~After smiling and crying about the memory, Camila grabbed a tissue from the box on the table. She calmed herself down and listened to some sad songs on her phone, relating to some of them. She fell asleep listening to her music.
