The next day Camila woke up to her alarm once more. She turned it off without even opening her eyes. However, she did once she couldn't fall back asleep. Camila looked down and smiled at the sleeping boy in her arms. The younger Hamada brother had trouble sleeping so he had asked Camila to sleep with him. She knew the boy needed his sleep so she had sung to him softly and messed with his hair. Camila had done it to Tadashi countless times. She took a wild guess and assumed it'd work for Hiro too.
Camila softly shook him while whispering, "Hiro, its time to get up. We have to get ready for school." The boy only groaned in response. Camila chuckled and continued her actions before eventually saying that if the boy didn't wake up, the tickle monster would pay him a special visit. He was to old for that and didn't think she was serious. That was the case until he felt fingers jab into his sides. Hiro's eyes popped open and he laughed like a maniac while flailing around like a fish out of water. He screamed, "Stop it! S-stop!" Camila laughed and continued tickling the poor boy for a good minute or two before she stopped.
"Never.....again." The boy breathed out after some time had passed. Camila only smirked and raised her eyebrows twice before kissing his cheek and getting up. She walked downstairs and used the bathroom. When she was finished she walked out to see Hiro walking down the stairs, stretching and yawning.
"What do you want for breakfast?" Camila asked. "Not hungry." Hiro responded before walking into the bathroom. His room had one but it was on his brothers side of the room and he couldn't bring himself to go over there.
Camila sighed and walked over to the kitchen. She grabbed a banana and peeled it. She went to grab her phone but realized she left it on the bed side table upstairs. Camila walked upstairs and walked into Hiro's room. She went to pass the bed but stubbed her toe on the frame. Camila let out an quiet "ow" and dropped her banana, which disappointed her because it was not only good but the last one.
Apparently her squeal out of pain and agony wasn't quiet enough as she heard a inflating sound and out of the corner of her eye, she could see a giant, white blob appear. Camila sat on the bed, holding her toe and watched Baymax look at her. He walked over and did his cute little circular wave before saying, "Hello, I am Baymax. Your personal healthcare assistant. I was altered to the need of medical attention when you said, "ow"."
"Hey Baymax." Camila sighed and forced a smile.
"Hello Camila. What seems to be the problem?" Baymax asks, titling his head to the side. "Oh, nothing. I just stubbed my toe. I'm fine." Camila replies. "On a scale of one to ten, please rate your pain." Baymax tells the girl, a small screen lit up and showed ten faces, all different. They showed different amounts of pain. "Umm, a two I guess." Camila said, not sounding sure.
"Does it hurt when I touch it?" Baymax asks, sticking out his finger and touching the girls toe. He looked up at her and saw her shaking her head. "I will scan you for further injuries." Baymax announces. "Scan complete." He says moments later. "You have sustained no injuries. However, your hormone and neurotransmitter levels show me that you have been experiencing mood swings and have been crying. Diagnosis..." Baymax pauses, leaning in slightly. "puberty and depression." Baymax says. Camila's eyes widen as she realized she was about to get he same talk Hiro got. Except for maybe slightly different.
"O-okay Baymax. I'm satisfied with my care. Y-you can get back in your box now." Camila said, standing up and pushing him to his box. Never in her life had she imagined that she'd be wanting him to go into his box considering she loved the robot so much. She loved him so much that sometimes she'd hurt herself on purpose by whacking her arm on the corner of the desk, falling, punching herself in the arm, etc. Once she even grabbed Hiro's old scooter and karate chopped her ankle with it. The pain was so bad she promised to never do it again.
"But I have not done anything. How can you be satisfied with your care?" Baymax asks. "I just am." Camila responded and she tried to fit him in the box. She was failing miserably but she didn't want to talk about puberty or why she was depressed. She tried to think very little about the situation but every time she looked somewhere in the apartment it cafè there was a memory to go with it. As she was walking, she stepped on the banana that she had dropped and slipped.
Baymax picked up Camila held her bridal-style. "It is okay to be sad. You should not hide your emotions or hold them in. If you do, you will experience a breakdown." Baymax explained. Camila rolled her eyes. Seconds after, the door opened to reveal Hiro. He furrowed his eyebrows in confusion.
"Umm, what's going on?" Hiro asked. "Camila was feeli-" "Hush, Baymax." Camila cut the robot off. She hopped down from his hold and looked at Hiro.
"I just stubbed my toe." She told the younger boy. Hiro nodded, remembering when he did that and got a lecture about puberty.
"Is there anything I can do?" Baymax asked. Both of them looked at him and shook their heads. "No, I think we got everything here handled Baymax. We are satisfied with our care." Camila responded. Baymax gave a small nod and walked back to his box.
Camila sat down on Hiro's bed and looked at the bottom of her foot. It had banana all over it. She scrunched up her face in disgust and asked Hiro to get her some paper towels. Once he returned she cleaned up her foot and the leftover banana on the floor. She walked downstairs and threw everything in the trash. She then remembered that she went up for her phone and groaned.
"Hiro!? Can you bring me my phone please?!" She yelled, not wanting to climb up the staircase again. She heard the boy yell 'Yes' and sat down at the table in the kitchen.
