"MANDY! WAKE UP!"

My thirteen year old sister, Brooke, voice filled the air. She had abruptly broke into my room, switched on the light, and was currently jumping on my bed waiting for me to wake up. I groaned and threw off the blankets, finally giving in. I glanced over at my clock before yelling at her. It was 2:34 am on a Tuesday. Why the fuck would she be waking me up at this hour?

"Brooke what is wrong with you! It's 2:30 in the morning. What do you want?" I scolded, changing my position so I was sitting up now.

"Stop being a bitch and hear me out. Mom took the laptop and Liam is doing a twitcam and I neeeeeeed to watch it, like now." She said jumping up and down.

"Who is Liam and what is a twitcam?" I asked, oblivious to what she was trying to tell me.

"God, Mandy, your stupid. Liam is from One Direction. You know the band? And a twitcam is where he is filmig what he is doing at this exact moment so all his fans can see. Please give me yours so I can watch it! Please!" She begged.

I could tell she really wanted to see this. I have no idea why though. I see nothing that special about boybands. Or One Direction in particular.

Finally caving in, I reached over and grabbed my laptop off my desk. I handed it to her and her face lit up.

"I expect it back on my desk by morning Brooke, I'm not joking, I need it."

"Okay okay, Thanks Mand love you." She hugged me and got up, skipping toward the door.

"Oh and Brooke?" I started and she spun around facing me. "If you ever wake me up on a work night again, your in deep shit." She laughed and continued prancing away to her room.

I laid back down, trying to get comfortable. I couldn't fall back asleep. Work crept back into my mind. I had so much to get done tomorrow. I guess being a seventeen year old, done with college and working for a very famous fashion company can be a bit overwhelming for me.

I shooed the thought away and began falling back asleep.

My alarm clock went off at 5:00. I rolled over and turned it off. Well, time to get up.

I took my usual morning run and then my usual morning shower. I got out of the shower and began to dry my hair. I pulled it back into a high ponytail. I made sure no hair was sticking up before I started on my makeup. I put on my concealer then appiled eye shadow and mascara. I finised off coating my waterline with eyeliner. I packed away my makeup and picked out my outfit. I wore black skinny jeans, a white button down shirt, and black heels.

I stuffed my phone into my purse and glared at myself in the mirror. I wasn't ugly but I wasn't beautiful ethier. I was average Mandy. I wish I was more than average though, I wanted to feel beautiful for once.

I sighed, shaking my thoughts and exiting my room. My whole family was awake and at the table eating breakfast. I wish I could sit down and eat bacon and pancakes dreched with syrup like they were. But I couldn't, I was on a diet. I grabbed a banana and a granola bar and sat down beside Claire, my sister.

Claire was almost a year older than me. Not only was she my sister, she was my bestfriend. We were so close and I loved it. Claire was also aspiring to be a professional dancer. She was absolutley amazing. She had performed on broadway and she was in intense training to become bigger and better. My parents were great influences on her too.

My mom used to be a model. She was like really famous, I guess you can say. Everyone new who Valerie Danielson was. But now, she is focused on her family and helping them achieve their goals. I admire my mother for that, a lot. She is so proud of Claire and I because we are making something of our lives. As for Brooke, well she's thirteen and she can't really do anything just yet. But she's a great soccer player just like me. Hopefully that will get her somewhere.

My father is the same way as my mother. He always wants whats best for us girls. Having three daughters, I guess you can say that my dad spoils us. But none of it goes to our heads, atleast I don't think it does.

Anyway my father is Alexander Danielson. He was the founder of this big law firm that is quite successful. Just being blunt here, but he was filthy rich. The company was in fact so successful that we practically had our future set with all the money it earned for being the founder and CEO. But absolutley none of that went to my father's head. He was kind, funny, and loving. He wasn't stuck up and snobby. That's what I loved about him.

"How was the twit thingy last night Brooke?" I asked, munching on my bar.

"Oh my, it was so funny! I love them!" She gushed, shoving bacon into her mouth. She was so skinny and ate everything. I wish I was like that.

"Love who darling?" My mother asked, sipping her coffee while eyeing down Brooke.

"You know mom, the band One Direction..?" She said smiling.

"Oh yes, Val, we had this discussion last night remember?" My dad chimed in.

"Oh right! Right. We did, didn't we?" My mother answered.

Brooke, Claire and I exchanged glances. Something was up.

"Wait, why were you talking about them?" Brooke asked nervously.

"Well, we were going to wait to tell you this and surprise you.. but since you already heard." Mother started.

"Go on.." Brooke urged.

"We have invited 20 of your friends over tonight for your early birthday party... and.. and.. Alex, finish it!" My mother said excitedly.

"We booked One Direction to come and play for you here at the house!" He said, waiting for Brooke's reaction.

Her face went pale and she threw her chair back and screamed as loudly as she can. Boy, I've never heard someone scream so loudly. She hugged and kissed mom and dad. She was freaking out, shaking in her shoes. It was actually funny.

"I'm going to work." I whispered to Claire, not wanting to ruin Brooke's fangirl moment.

"I'll see you tonight as this party." We hugged and I picked my purse up and left.

I walked down our long driveway, opened up the gates that stood at the end of it. I closed and locked the big gate behind me. I made my way up the street to my work building, since it was only five minutes away. Well, I thought, I guess I'm meeting One Direction tonight. Frankly, I wasn't happy at all because they were probably stuck up, stupid boys who don't give two fucks about people. Not looking foward to that.
