I threw open the double glass doors to my office and put my purse on my desk. I walked around and took a seat in my desk chair. For a moment, I just stopped and closed my eyes. I was not in the working mood today. I just wanted to go back to sleep for three years. But no, I accepted the job, which means I have to work. But I love what I do, so that's good.
I opened my eyes again and looked out my glass doors. I had a perfect view of all the workers that worked on this floor. I stared at the interns running around frantically, getting thier bosses items they requested. I looked at one intern who was carrying a tray of cookies and a mug of hot chocolate. That's so stupid, I thought. I would never make my intern, Alyssa, get food for me.
I shook my head and looked down on my desk. I had to get started now, if I wanted to finish by the end of the day. I began sorting all of my paper work when Alyssa walked in,
"Good morning Mandy, would you like some help?" She said softly.
"Lyss, how are you? And yes, see that pile of papers over there?" I pointed to the opposite side of my desk. She nodded, taking a step foward.
"Can you stamp all those and make sure they all get back to Leigh? Thank you!" She grabbed the papers and scurried off without another word.
Leigh was the head supervisor in our building. She made sure all the paperwork was handled and all the models always looked their best. I worked for a fashion agency. I helped design clothes, book events, and I was the supervisor of the runway shows. It was so much fun and everything I wanted.

"Almost finished..." I said to myself as I signed the last of the paperwork.
My phone started ringing and I looked at it. The caller ID stated it was Tori, my bestfriend. Finally I had someone to talk to! I grabbed it and pressed the accept button.
"Hey Tor!" I said happily into the phone. I pressed it between my shoulder and ear as I began putting all the papers back in their folders.
"Hey babe. Listen your mom told me that Brooke's party tonight is like some formal thing so meet me at the mall and we could get our dresses?"
"Umm yeah, okay. I'll be there in five. Bye." I hung up and put the last folder away in the drawer.
I threw my phone into my purse and slung my purse around my shoulder. I shut the light and said goodbye to everyone as I made my way ouit of the building. Finally, that day was over. I was now looking foward to dressing up and partying tonight. Just to get away from all my work and stuff.
I walked down to the mall, where I saw Tori standing there. She greeted me with a bone crushing hug.
"Tor, let go. I need air." I barley said and she laughed and released me.
"Thanks," I smiled and straightened out my clothing.
"Come on! Let's go get our dresses." She stated, grabbing my hand and pulling me inside.

Tori and I had finally finished shopping and we were now back at my house, in my room. Claire was in there too.
"Okay, let's see the dresses!" Claire said excitedly. Tori and I looked at eachother and smiled.
I unzipped the white cover, revealing my beautiful dress. It was black, tight, and down to my feet. It was bedazzled along the collar line with pretty diamonds. There was an oval shape cut out in the back and along that was diamonds also. Needless to say, it was one of the prettiest dresses ever.
"Oh my fucking God, Mandy I hate you! Mine isn't nearly as pretty as yours." Claire whined slapping my arm. I knew she wasn't exaggerating ethier.
