I took my tray outside to the school picnic tables. There were of course cliques at each table- jocks and cheerleaders, nerds, msuper pretty popular girls, skater boys, and an oak tree? Every table was full, and it seemed these four guys had been pushed to the ground.

Wait, one of the four was waving at me. Frank!

I smiled and made my way over. Frank elbowed Gerard ,who was drawing, and he immediently looked up. I smiled and gave a little wave, and he smiled back. I plopped down next to Franky, who endulged me in a tight hug.

"Hey bestest friend in the whole wide world!" He said like a child while squeezing me tightly.

"Hey cheeky monkey." I said grinning as he pulled away and went back to his sandwich.

"Hi Becky." Gerard added quietly. I waved and blushed.

"Well, better introduce you to everyone." Gerard said gesturing to the two strangers sitting across form me. "This is Mikey, my little brother, and this is Ray. Guys, this is Becky." I smiled at them. Mikey smiled awkwardly and Ray waved.

"So how you liking Belleview so far?" Ray asked timidly.

"It's okay, my classes are good and at least I have a spot reserved at lunch."I stated opening my chips.

There was a bit of an awkward silence after that. I finished my chips and started in my water. They were all deep in their on conversation, so I didn't bother to butt in.

"Hey, Becky, is that all you're gonna eat?" Frank questioned pulling me out of my reverie.

"Yeah, why?" I asked giving him a questioning look.

"No reason." He said obviously not wanting to start anything.

"Well are you doing anything tonight?" He asked looking hopeful.

"Actually no, I'm not."

"Great! Well the Premire Theater is having a midnight showing of Texas Chainsaw Masacre, wanna come?"

"Sure, my step-mum won't care. Wait, where's this theater anyway?" I asked a bit suspiscius.

"Uh, down town. Need a ride I guess?" I nodded.

"Well, Gerard, can we all fit in the truck?" He asked Gerard. He nodded.

"Pick you up at elevenish?"

I plopped down on my bed. I had more then enough time to get ready for the movie, so I didn't bother changing.

Cindy, my step-mum, wasn't going to be home till later, so I guess I could go out.

I grabbed my lanyard that had my keys on it and headed out. Just as I was about to open the door, there was an awkward knock. I opened the door to see Frank.

"Hey, Beck." He said, suddenly becoming awkward and looking at his shoes.

"Hey, Franky. Um, wanna come in?"I said awkardly. It was freezing out, so he gladly shuffled in.

"So what brings you here?" I asked leaning against our island as he took a seat on our couch.

"I dunno, just wondering if you wanted to do something, like, before the movie?" He asked his confidence surprisingly gone.

"Sure! We could hang out here for a while, we've got movies and poptarts!" I said. He perked up.

"Wait, won't your step-mom get mad with you having a random guy just chilling on the couch?" He asked. I laughed.

"She'll be home at like nine. We got time. Here, pick a movie out." I said gesturing to the huge shelf of films. I heated up four poptarts. When they were finally done I saw Frank fast-forwarding the previews. I handed him the toasted pastery.

"Thanks." He said. I nodded in reply. I cringed as I turned to the screen and saw 'The Shining' on the menu selection. I used to watch this with my dad, it was my first horror movie. Frank must've noticed my change in mood.

"You okay?"

"Yeah, I'm fine, start the movie."

Throughout the whole movie Franky and I kept making fun of the characters and their seventies clothing. When we got to the scary murder part, I grasped on to Frank's arm without even realising it. I always flinched in terror, even though I loved scary movies. He always chuckled and half hugged me reasuringly. I hit him playfully and say it's not funny, which would make him laugh harder.

By the time the movie was over it was around eight-thirty-ish, so I ordered a pizza, and Frank helped.  I ordered in a normal voice and he kept yelling toppings in the backround. It took every ounce of willpower in my body not to laugh.

Once I hung out I broke out in a loud fit of giggles. Frank was laughing so hard he was on the floor and I sooned joined him.  We didn't realise there had been about fifteen minutes of laughing till be heard pounding on the door.

He quick covered my mouth and ran to the door, taking the pizza from the guy and handing him some money. I hid behind the couch and at just the right moment I lept up and scared the living crap out of the guy. He jumped back and I could see Frank trying his best not to laugh.

"I'm so sorry, my friend, has, torrettes. Night now." He said shooing the guy out of the doorway. As soon as it shut the laughing started again. We both rushed to the pizza and got a bite. I couldn't help but smile.

I only took a peice and a half, but ate it slowly so Frank wouldn't notice. Frank on the other hand had almost the entire thing, only leaving a peice that I put in the fridge.

Cindy snuck in sometime.

"Who's the boy?" She said coming up from behind me.

"Frank, a friend I met at school." I said stil washing dishes.

"Oh."

"And um, Cindy, can Frank and I go to a midnight movie tonight? I'll take my phone."

"Sure. I'm going to bed."

"Night."

I glanced over to see Franky putting on a record on our old player. I started walking towards him just as he turned around.

Mambo Number 5 turned on. I rolled my eyes and laughed as he sauntered over taking my hand in his. I smiled and gave into his little dance. He began to swing our arms in and out, and spin me in circles to the beat. We were laughing and grinning the whole time. The song finally ended and he let me go.

He was gleaming at his accomplishment and I was just happy. I was happy. Just purely happy.

I glanced at the clock to see it was quarter of eleven.

"Shit!" I swore under my breath as I darted to my room, frantically putting on some make-up and pulling my converse on. Frank entered silently.

"Uh, can we stop by my place then? I forgot my sweatshirt." He said blankly as I turned around, shoving my phone and some money in my pocket. I nodded as we went to the front door.

I let him lead the way to his apartment, which was conveinietly just a floor above mine. He quick dashed in and left me on the couch, fiddling with my thumbs. He returned in a few minutes with his sweatshirt and checked his own phone.

"Gerard's probably waiting in the parking lot by now." He said laughing under his breath.

I opened the door and let him follow as we saw a beat up pick up truck waiting on the curb. Inside was a tired Gerard. I smiled as frank pushed me to the middle, right next to Gerard. Mikey was on the other side of me, followed by Frank.

Nirvana was silently playing, lessing the awkward silence. We picked up Ray and he squeezed in next to Frank. We were basically sitting on each others' laps

In a few minutes we were at the theater, and joined the long line for Texas Chainsaw Masacre.

We were chating silently about nothing, I was actually talking to Gerard about that new band Green Day,  when a cruel voie interupted our conversation.

"Hey! Emocunts!"
