Eternal

I lost you to chances I wasn't willing to take

Welcome to the starvation

Of a howling heart

Of an awful girl

I am bitter until the end

But living with anger or fear

Is not really living at all

Your eyes give away secrets darling

They have seen more

Then they bargained for

And they have seen me

Drunk on stars and moonbeams

Laughing with the comets

You lured me in and I let myself drown

On nights like this

Feeling and not feeling

Everything and nothing

It leaves me gasping

For something to ground me

For something

Anything

I try to cover all our memories

But your name is etched into my soul

Scrawled onto counters and sheets

And stained on everything else

It is impossible to leave you

And if not for my heart

Which refused to take a chance

I would have continued drowning

Eternally
