i wrote a song about you
and whispered it
to the stars every night
and i think
they started to shine
a little brighter
but i need to stop
because every time
i fell for you
you failed to catch me
sometimes just showing up
says more than the words
i love you
ever could
learning to not love you
is like trying to forget
the lyrics to a song
that was my lullaby
for years
yet i am not okay
without you
you may believe that i am
and thats okay
because your heart
isnt breaking like mine
