So, it all started in Science class with my friend. It was a free day because we were nearing the last days of school. My friend, let's call her Liz, decided to draw me a small drawing of a dog head. The dogs name was cheesy, and she drew them in the back it on lined paper with highlighter and signed her signature, cut it out and gave it to me. I liked the drawing, so I kept it in my journal. I brought it all the way from where I lived to North Carolina, and I watched the fireworks with my cousin. That was the last time I remembered seeing it, in my pocket. I checked when I got back to the place we were staying, and it was gone.I didn't think much of it, I could just ask for a new one or just get over it. It was just a small. simple drawing so it didn't really matter.
We drove to Texas as our last stop before we head home, and it just so happened that day that I wanted to go to the pool. So I headed to the pool with my siblings and when we got there we noticed there was already a mom and around a two year old baby in the pool. I walked to go put my stuff down on a table behind her and while I walked past her table I noticed something.
She had the dog drawing.
Mind you, we were in Texas. Faaaaaar away from North Carolina.
It was sitting in the plastic slip in a pack of cigarettes. Like there's a clear plastic sheet around it, and in that sheet you really aren't supposed to put anything in it, but there, tucked snugly in the plastic wrap, was my dog drawing.
I sorta sat there in awe. why in the world does she have my drawing.
I didn't want it back, I was just really curious where she got it.
Like, what are the odds of us being at the pool at the exact same time, in the exact same state at the same time, like
What are the odds.
Water the odds?
Get it cause we were at the pool?Ahaha
So, the whole time I'm swimming I can't get my mind off of trying to ask her. I told my siblings, and they knew it was my drawing because I always had it in my pocket.
And no, before you ask, it was not a printed or a copy of it, it was the exact same drawing some in highlighter and her thin pencil, her same signature, and the same cut out shape.My drawing.
What?She went out several times to make a phone call and smoke, and I kept watching her like a hawk. Each time, she didn't just take the drawing out, she kept it in there.
Water the odds.
I never got to ask her, I was to shy. I don't know why I didn't just blurt our the words.Well, that's a story. Some lady randomly found Liz's dog drawing and thought it was cool and kept it and I just so happened to find her.
Welp ;-;
