one: "adventures in babysitting"

Davina placed another crayon in front of morgan. Ever since the funeral, davina wanted to be there for both pepper and morgan. It was like that all the time even before Tony's passing, now that she thinks of it. Morgan was a delight to be around. She really was a reminder of tony to everyone.

"It needs more red." Morgan said as she looked at her picture she had drawn on her piece of paper.

"Hmm what other colors do you think it needs? I think it needs yellow." Davina handed morgan the red crayon. It was a quiet Friday afternoon when pepper had called davina to ask if she could babysit morgan for her since she was called for a last minute meeting and happy was unavailable. Davina gladly accepted.

"It looks pretty!" Morgan giggled and showed the drawing to davina.

"Wow, I think we have a picasso on our hands." Davina laughed.

Their coloring time was interrupted by the sound of 'careless whisper' filling their ears. "I am so going to kill him." Davina whispered. Adam had gotten ahold of her phone and changed everything on it. Even her assigned ringtone when Peter called.

"Are you going to answer?" Morgan asked curiously.

"Um let's just keep coloring. It's not that important." Davina tried to distract morgan, but the five year old was determined to get her to answer the call.

"What if it's uncle adam? He might need your help." Morgan said with a smile.

"Uncle adam has other friends."

After a few seconds of silence, davina's phone rang again. Again, she ignored it and watched morgan color. And again it rang.

"Is it your boyfriend?" Morgan wiggled her eyebrows.

"What? He's not my boyfriend. He's a boy who happens to be my friend." Davina explained in a way morgan would understand.

"Do you love him?" The five year old teased. "I bet you kiss him like this!" She puckered her lips and made kiss noises.

"I bet someone needs a nap. C'mon baby stark." Davina grabbed the crayons from Morgan's hand and set them down. She led morgan to her room and lifted the covers so she could get in.

"Can you tell me something?" Morgan asked.

"What is it?"

"Was it your boyfriend?"

Davina knew that she wasn't going to let it go anytime soon. She also knew that if she didn't tell morgan, she would ask adam, her mom or even happy. "Can you keep a secret?"

Morgan nodded eagerly.

"He is my boyfriend. But he was away for a long time and I got sad. Some of my friends were gone too. But he's back and now I'm happy. But we have to be careful when we're with each other because some people don't know." Davina explained.

"Like uncle adam?"

"Especially uncle adam. You think you can keep that secret for me? It's a big job." Davina watched as morgan played with a ring that Peter had gotten her for her birthday.

"I can. I'm a big girl." Morgan yawned and closed her eyes.

"You sure are." Davina kissed Morgan's forehead and walked out of her room, closing the door behind her. She truly wished Tony was there to see his little girl grow up and become the strong and powerful woman he wanted her to be.

Her thoughts were interrupted by the same ringtone she had listened to for minutes. She sighed in defeat and picked up her phone. "Hey I'm sorry I didn't pick up, I was with morgan."

"It's alright. I just wanted to ask if you were busy this afternoon. I really really really need to talk to you." Peter said in a serious tone.

"Is everything okay?" She asked worried.

"Not everything."
