I cleared my throat and gulped.
"It's not like him sleeping over at my house was going to lead to anything. He kind of just crashed there last night." I say crossing my arms over my chest.
Oh yeah after school I went to his house and I found him in his shower bleeding because he was cutting himself plus I accidentally made a little cut on my left wrist. Then we showered together. He dropped me off at my house and I told him he's sleeping over, we slept in my bed together. You know no clothes just boxers and I was wearing his shirt. Not weird at all. My self conscious adds.
"That still doesn't make any sense." Luke says.
"Alright we'll talk about this later. We kind of have a dying boy in the hospital and that possibly dying boy is Ashton. Our socially awkward friend." Michael says.
"Okay but this conversation is not over. I'm serious." Calum says.
"Whatever." I say.
The rest of the drive to the hospital was completely quiet not even the radio was on. When we got to the hospital we went to the front desk for the second time today.
"Ashton Irwin." Luke says.
"Yes room 309 that's just down the hall there." She says pointing to her right.
"Thank you." Calum says.
We quickly fast walk down to the room she pointed to. Luke barges in not even knocking as we all follow him, me last. Ashton's mum was definitely startled.
"How is he?" Luke says franticly.
"Not too good. He's been sleeping for a while. He woke up one time and asked for Kelsey." She says and everyone looks at me.
"What?" I say.
"Do you guys know anything about his wrists? The doctor says there were cuts and it couldn't be from the accident because there was a bandage already there." She says.
"Uh um I" I stuttered.
"I have to run some errands. Can you guys just stay here for a while I won't be long." She says.
"Yeah of course." Calum says.
"Thank you. See you guys later." She says exiting the room.
"Okay so now you're telling us about you and Ashton." Calum says taking a seat down on the couch that could obviously only seat 3.
Calum, Michael and I take a seat on the couch and Luke sits on the chair next to Ashton's bed. Luke started talking to Ashton and I could see him tearing up but, he was still listening to our conversation.
"What's there to tell. I already told you guys. Ashton slept over my house not a big deal." I shrugged.
"Why did he go over there anyways?" Calum asked curiously.
"Okay after school I went to his house. He-he was in the shower. Um bleeding there was a lot of blood. He was cutting his wrist. And I showed my old ones and I cut myself using Ashton's blade. Then after sitting on the shower floor for like 2 hours I think, we finally stood up and kind of showered together. We hung out in his room for a while and then he dropped me home. I wanted him to stay over because I didn't want him to cut himself again. He was suppose to sleep on the couch down stairs but I told him to sleep in my room with me. Then he got a phone call in the morning I thought it was his mum. But it wasn't and he started spazzing out and told me we just needed to be friends. Nothing more. I got upset. I don't know why but I just did. Then after he left I went to my bathroom and got out my old blades I never stopped. I told everyone I did but I didn't." And I started to cry.
Michael stood up and walked I front of me and gave me a hug. Then Calum and Luke next thing I knew we were in some kind of bear hug thing. We stood like that for like 10 minutes and I was still crying. Michael and everyone pulls back from our hug.
"So why didn't you stop?" Luke said crying.
"I don't know. Really I don't know I knew nothing good could come from me throwing them away so I kept them instead of throwing them out." I cried.
"Okay okay we aren't talking about this here." Calum said.
"I'm getting hungry." Michael says rubbing his stomach.
"Why don't you go get food and bring it back here guys." Luke said to Calum and Michael.
"Okay will get pizza from Dominos." Michael says with a huge smile plastered on his face.
"Okay let's go." Calum said leaving the room.
"I'm going to get some air." Luke said.
"Okay I'll be here." I said sitting back on the couch.
