Previously.
An anti-social teenage girl.
A smartass, moody teenage boy.
Now.
Well... you'll see.
All Because of A Terrible Coincidence.
(If you're confused by this description! Small explanation inside.)
Both Noah and I had to fill out a small form before we left and the police officer had to contact my mom to confirm, since I still wasn't 18. Because of this, I'd found out that Noah was 19, so as a result, neither of his parents were contacted.
"Oh. Hey?" Bella said, as we walked up to her car. She looked at me confused by the fact that Noah was standing beside me, his hands shoved lazily in his pockets.
I explained to her that Noah needed a ride home and she accepted immediately, telling him that it wasn't an issue.
Then we got into the car, Bella and I in the front and Noah in the back. I'd offered for him to sit in the front seat, because I'd noticed that his long legs were pretty squished in Bella's small Passat, but he quietly denied.
"What's your address, Noah?" Bella asked, turning on her GPS.
I noticed his hesitation before he responded, "677 Sherwood Dr."
Bella nodded, "Okie dokie." She responded, putting in the address. Once she was done, she strapped on her seatbelt and started driving, the GPS woman telling us where to turn next.
I leaned against my seatbelt, letting out a soft sigh.
I looked over at the clock, realizing that it was almost midnight.
How long was I even in that office?
God, what an utterly horrible day.
I laid my head against the cool window, trying to focus on the music on low volume coming from Bella's radio. But despite my attempts to think of something else, my mind kept going to Noah in the backseat. Here I was thinking that I'd had a bad day. I couldn't even imagine losing Bella, she'd been my best friend since third grade. That only made me think more. Like how in the world he was keeping it together as well as he was? Did he even know if Austin had made it?
I knew that Noah had left in the ambulance with Austin and although I didn't know Noah, I knew that there was no way that he would have left Austin at the hospital, unless Austin hadn't made it.
And for Austin and Noah's sake, I really hoped that wasn't the case.

Noah's house was a short drive from the police station and luckily wasn't too complicated to locate, especially with the help of Noah in the backseat.
"That's it." He said, pointing out the window.
Bella nodded and pulled over, taking a breath and relaxing against her seat once she'd successfully parked.
I looked out my window at the small one story house sitting in front of me. Though it was quite dark, I could make out a slightly worn down white fence surrounding the front lawn and an assortment of flowers surrounding the front staircase that led to the porch. The house itself looked to be a yellow color although I couldn't really tell, since it was so dark.
