Your looks they would sting
To my mind they would cling
Your words they hurt
You made me feel like dirt
Like when you said 'Look at her nose'
'It's as big as a crows'
Or when you said look at her crooked teeth
And everytime I tried turning over a new leaf
While you let out your rage
As I wondered 'How do I get out of this cage?'
You said we'll see how long you last
But I built a cast
Around me
And I would not flee
One day you said some words
Calling my friends 'nerds'
And calling them names
As if you were playing games
I gave you a glare
And you squirmed under my stare
But you quickly covered that up
And said 'sup'
But I looked right through you
Your face was a pale hue
Your eyes they'd hover
Hiding - like the inside of a book you cover
I said 'you're trash'
And there it was - that flash
Of hurt
But I just smirked
I embarrassed you that day
Much to your dismay
I thought you would stop
I was on the lookout like a cop
For you
But you didn't stop
I was like a mop
Absorbing your rudeness
And crudeness
In fact it got worse
Until I was like corse
Your words inflicting scars
While I wanted to disappear to Mars
But you would never learn
How I would yearn
For an escape
But I never found one
So I guess you won.Originally Written: November. 4. 2016
