Keith heard people shouting downstairs, he opened his eyes, getting out of bed and picking his usual clothes, choosing his grey shirt with a red jacket and some jeans. He walked to the bathroom, taking a quick shower and putting on his clothes, brushing his teeth and leading downstairs.
His step-parents were arguing over something Keith didn't want to know. He grabbed a mug, filling it with some tea and eating a toast.
He grabbed his scooter's keys, finishing his breakfast and going out, slamming the door, making his step-parents turn to it.Keith turned his scooter on, heading to school, avoiding the cars around him speeding up even more.
He did a sharp turn, trying not to crash into a motorbike next to him. Keith looked away from the motorbike, turning back to his front, seeing a truck coming his direction.○●○●○●○●○●○●○●○●
Keith looked around, confused. He was at some kind of hospital, everything around him was in a pastel blue tone. He turned to the door in front of the couch he was, seeing an old lady coming in, with a guy behind him.
"Where am I? Who are you?" Keith asked, confused.
"Oh, dear, I'm going to explain everything to you in a moment." the old woman smiled, coming closer and brushing Keith's hair, in a comforting manner. "You, my dear, is dead."
"What?! That can't be! I was heading school just a minute ago!" the raven haired boy exclamed, confused.
"You crashed into a truck while going school, you were the only one hurt, the truck driver tried to call an ambulance, buy you died instantly with the crash."
"And... and who are you?" the lady hummed, happily, sitting next to the boy.
"I'm God."
"Wait, wait! You're what now?"
"I know, I know, that's not the way people usually portrait me. I take different shapes, and that was the least threatening to you."
"And now what? I just live? My afterlife?" Keith looked around, the man that entered along with God looking at him, smiling.
"You were assigned to a very important mission." the man said, flapping his wings lightly. Wait a minute, wings?
"W-What mission?" he looked at he man, he had a scar on his face, a bit upon his nose. Black hair with a white stripe and grey warm eyes.
"You'll be a guardian angel." God got up, staying next to what Keith supposed was an angel. "Your human is a Cuban boy, almost your age, he really needs your help. You don't need to accept the job, but I have a feeling that you would be really good for him."
"And why is that?" he asked, interested. If he was already dead, he could do something with his time.
"He is going through the same things you were." she sighed, gesturing to Keith to follow her. "If you accept the work, you'll go to Earth again, to the same school as him, you'll need to become his friend and help him with what he's going through."
"Well, I'll gladly do it, then." God smiled, happily. "But I have to warn you that I'm not good with comforting people."
"Oh, that won't be a problem, all guardian angels have the power to calm their human down and make them feel safe." she explained. "You'll need to befriend him, but you can use your power to help him if he needs."
"And I'll need to eat or sleep?"
"You won't need to, but you can if you want. You need to have the most normal life you can. That's why you'll live with Shiro, you guys will act like you're brothers." Shiro smiled at him, and Keith smiled back, shyly. "Shiro is also a guardian angel, so you guys probably won't spent that much time together, but it would be good if you got to know each other."
"Alright, when I'll start?" he asked, almost getting excited.
"Right now."
