well I got the call as soon as the day hit night as soon as the headlights lit up the west side I stopped the car and came outside cuz I know that tone I remember the first time we wished upon parallel lines waiting for a friend to call and say they're still alive

I've given everyone I know a good reason to go and I come back with the belief that everyone I know is gonna leave me

I sang quietly tearing up a bit while sort of dancing in an empty cell "hey kid it's din- Oh am I interrupting something" Daryl said "oh um no sorry what were you saying" I sputter out embarrassed by my singing "I was saying it dinner time" "Oh ok I'll be down in a few" I say quietly "ok bye" Daryl said "oh and you have a great voice" he yelled back as he went down the steps. "thanks" I said quietly so he couldn't hear.

I skipped down the steps and jogged to the table. I sat next to Carl and Daryl. we had beans and soup.
