I fumbled with my sleeves. The cold plastic chair wasn't the best for my anxiety. I sat and waited for Eva to be done. I was moved from the waiting area to a seat in the hallway where the visiting room was at. Two buff cops stood at the side of the door where Eva entered 40 minutes ago. 45 minutes was way too long. Well at least for me.
I twisted a strand of hair around my fingers and let it go. A small curl appeared but then mixed in with the rest of my hair. I pulled down the cloth beneath my knees. The last time I was this nervous was going into my first call in for a spot on vogue.
The clock ticked. Just in time. The door knob twisted and out came Eva, stunned. Her eye bags sunk deep into her lifeless face. I did this to her. It was both me and Kevin to blame for her change in attitude. She walked out and came up to me.
I stood up and straightened my dress.
"He doesn't know your here" Eva sighs rubbing her hand up and down my arm.
"He knows I'm alive" She nods to my statement. She hugs me and wishes me good luck before she walked out to the lobby. Don't cry, Irene. We've talked about it.
My heels clicked on the floor and I made my way to the entrance. The guard asked me my relation and I responded with victim. He gave me a pitiful look and opened the door. But he did tell me he was handcuffed and can't get out. I guess there's no one else in there. Great.
With no other warnings I walked into the silent room to see him. The boy who captured me with his fierce looks and rebellious personality. He no longer had his long silky hair. It was all shaven off and allowed more scars and his jawline to be shown.
He too was surprised. He sat up straighter and examined me well. I was wearing more classy things and my hair was no longer the same.
"Hello, Kevin" I sat on the chair in front of him. The table was the only thing keeping a distance between the both of us.
"Irene, you've changed" He bit his tongue and got closer to me. I gave him a blank stare. This kept going on for a minute.
"How's jail treating you?" I asked finding the courage to place my hands on top of the table.
"Amazing, everyone's a kiss up" He smiled biting his nail. I smiled back and nodded.
"I heard you're going somewhere else..." I remembered being told what Eva had informed me. He was an adult now.
"It's going to be hell, Irene" Kevin sighed deeply sitting closer to the table "But you're here now, and I can calm down a bit" Kevin shrugged reaching a hand out. I stopped it with my own and placed it down on the table. His hand felt weird to touch.
"I'm sorry, Kevin. I can't let you do that" I explained to him moving my hair from my face. He just scoffed.
"Why is that? You've gotten soft on me, princess" Kevin replied leaning more into the table so we had both gotten closer to each other.
"Because I have feelings now, Kevin" I retorted moving my seat back to avoid his heavy breathing that gave me chills every time.
"I can feel all the damage you've done to me"
The times he wrapped a hand around my wrist, it would always leave bruises. Especially when he slapped me in places that I didn't like.
"I can feel the lies you've told me"
'Fuck, I love you so much Irene" Kevin moaned
'Faster' I screamed in pleasure
"I can feel the disguising things you called me"
